ARRRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!

Now does anyone think these Republicans should be Republicans? They just sold out the United States of America. Senators Collins, Snowe and Specter.

As far as I am concerned, they are Pond Scum. Political whores. More suitable to stand on the street corners of our country.

I don’t care that they shaved off a billion or two, they would not stand up for their principles. Indeed I don’t think they have any priniciples, except the pandering to the latest fear mongering Democrat.

Welcome back to RedState, Joel

…but please, you need to write more substantive diaries. This kind of rant is much more suited for a comment on an Open Thread. When you write this kind of piece as a diary, you kick off a more thoughtful diary.

The greatest evil…is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern. -C.S. Lewis

Thank you for welcoming me back.

One thing though, Kicking off a thoughtful diary is also fruitful.

Substantive diaries aren’t my forte.

Basic points are.

People who don’t stand for their principles or principals are in for a flagelatting good time.

I really am angry at these people. I am wondering if they are really stupid or just playing at being Senators. YOU TELL ME!!!!

Senators in our system of government are by design to be contemplative.

Where is the contemplation? Where is the discourse? Where do I send my dirty drawers? Since they specialize in excrement.

Call me what you want, just don’t call me late for dinner.

I think that until this abomination of a bill goes through

we’ll all need to rant a bit.

If the "stimulus" is anything like the other

Federal Programs then most Americans won’t see a dime. Taxes will go up and other services will be diminshed. No one is going to get a decent job. Small business is folding it’s tent and going home until this socialist wind of change passes.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Specter said earlier Wednesday "I'll take my chances"

“Today we have shown that, working together, we can address the enormous economic crisis facing our country,” Collins said.

Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Nebraska, summed up the bill as a “jobs bill.”

The three Republican senators who voted in favor of the package indicated Wednesday that they were pleased with the agreement.

“As I said, unless the bill remained virtually in tact from what the agreement was last Friday, my support would be conditional on that, and we got there,” Specter said. “I think it is an important component of putting America back on its feet.”

Specter said earlier Wednesday that he’s aware of the political danger he’s putting himself in but that action is needed to pump up the ailing economy.

“I understand the peril, but I didn’t run for the United States Senate to further my own political interests,” he said on CNN’s “American Morning.”

When asked about the possible political backlash from his vote supporting the bill, Specter said. “It’s a good plan, not a perfect plan. But a good plan, and I’ll take my chances.”
