Only 363 More Shopping Days until 'Barack Obama day' in Illinois

Good news, everyone. Governor Bruce Rauner of Illinois has signed legislation establishing that henceforth August 4 shall be celebrated as Barack Obama Day.

The newest state holiday will be celebrated each year on the 44th president’s birthday, beginning in 2018.

The holiday will be “observed throughout the State as a day set apart to honor the 44th President of the United States of America who began his career serving the People of Illinois in both the Illinois State Senate and the United States Senate, and dedicated his life to protecting the rights of Americans and building bridges across communities,” Senate Bill 55 reads.

Barack Obama did indeed begin his career in Illinois, specifically the part of Illinois that is the home of an unrepentant, ultra-left wing, domestic terrorist. So Obama began “building bridges” from day one with a bridge between the Democrat Party and the domestic terrorist community. It’s a beautiful thing.

Traditions for Obama Day will involve promising extravagant gifts for which the recipient will be responsible for paying. Race riots and the ceremonial burning of communities may also be part of the festivities.

Barack Obama Day will be like “Festivus” except more focused on the “airing of the grievances.”

Any suggestions for how to celebrate #BarackObamaDay?
