If you follow politics and have been on twitter in the last 12 hours you are probably aware of the epic fail that is Carly’s Demonsheep ad. Even though Chuck Devore was not the target of the ad, he has come out with a response:

Chuck Devore says, “Never again.” Well he actually doesn’t say that but he does promise us a world free of the demonsheep that will plague our nightmares for years to come. This is another great reason to vote for State Senator Devore in the Republican Primary.

What would Mr. DeVore like to make this race about if not the stupidity of Democrats, including Babs Boxer, when it comes to spending and the mess Democrats create?

I figured I’d have to jump in and much better than the IM craze of the earlier part of the last decade. I like sending tweets and it much more enjoyable to see those going on the gag(like Aaron “a #demonsheep ate my baby”). I must say I got into too. I’m wondering if someone has a #demonsheep with a ? on it. I’m thinking of using it. It goes along with #whoisthedemonsheep. I try not to get things wrong and some “Pants on the Ground” is all that bad.

No worries, I’m probably stuck on too un-hip, too cheap to by an iWhatever and too cheap to pay the $50+ a month for the privilege of being hip. Throw in cell phone coverage where I work is terrible and never going to get better….I’ll just have to be content to let the hipsters baaa on about #demonsheep.
Check back in month or so though and let’s see if the race for CA Senate turns on who’s the biggest spending Republican in the primary or talking about he demon sheep. My bet… it’s the spending.

Then I can do #demonsheep on the run. I’ll probably get a laptop as well, but I limit my choices down to No intel inside and it must have an AMD processor(my conscience bothers me if I did any other way). It funny that the #demonsheep thing hasn’t made over here to the front page of the Houston Chronicle(I’m use to members of the Fourth estate of Texas). I really don’t know what will happen but I’m sure there will be another bad ad on the way soon.

The article is so so…but the comments are very enlightening if you read them with the filter that the LATimes is mostly a Left Wing rag.
Might this really bad, really hokey, really corny ad backfire on Carly, sure you bet. But it does cut through the noise and turn the conversation to Tom Campbell’s role in wanting to raise my taxes and in helping create the budget mess CA is in right now.
I’d love to see someone show up at Campbell’s rally’s in a wolf costume with glowing eyes…oh my it is California.
