Trump: There is a Chance We Could Have a "Major, Major" Conflict With North Korea

Thursday night, President Trump sat down with Reuters for an interview focusing on the first 100 days of his presidency. When asked about North Korea, he said there is a possibility of a “major, major conflict” with the Communist state.

Trump also said he preferred a diplomatic resolution, including additional economic sanctions, but that the military option is a possibility. Administration officials such as UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster have also said the military option is absolutely on the table, especially if North Korea tests a nuclear weapon.

Some military experts believe North Korea poses a nuclear threat to Hawaii, but there’s a low probability that North Korea would initiate such an attack.

In the Reuters interview, POTUS also added some thoughts about Kim Jong Un himself.

I agree with Trump in hoping that Kim Jong Un is “reasonable,” but there really isn’t any credible evidence to support that hope. For South Park watchers, Kim Jong Un is the Eric Cartman of dictators, only less intelligent. He’s a manchild with the emotional capacity of a toddler and given the authority to do whatever the heck he wants.

Trump is sending signal after signal to North Korea that if they test a nuke, “a decapitation strike may very well be carried out” against them. Listen up, Mugatu. Don’t be stupid.
