There will be 111 new bureaucracies formed to "operate" this new health care system. Don't think for one minute it will be any more efficient than any other government operation you have ever had to deal with in your life. Imagine, with socialized medicine, going to the doctor will be like going to the DMV.
Those new bureaucracies will cost this nation dearly in many, many ways, over three trillion in ten years.. And seniors will be hurt the worst. With a 500 billion dollar cut to Medicare Senior Advantage in 2010 and one trillion within three years, we will be back paying for Medi-gap, (which is why AARP is backing Obama care).

The reality is, all medicine will become socialized if this nation is subjected to Obama care with the public option. Since the bill has passed the House, it will likely pass the Senate. The only weapon the Republicans have left is the filibuster. It will take 60 votes to stop them but after that only 51 votes to clear the Senate, and the Democrats have them.

Then we have to worry about Cap and Trade, Amnesty for illegals, our military situation, a lack of a strong foreign policy, and any number of new encroachments of the government into our society. With a nuclear threat from both Iran, and North Korea, we have as our leader at this time in American history, the most dangerous man on the planet.

Like a spider, socialism advances over its victims before they realize they are doomed.

The Clinton administration started this crap of treating terrorism as a criminal activity instead of an act of war which it clearly is, evidently the political posture of a criminal act requires a smaller response and keeps voters at ease thinking this is no big deal. The Clintons hunted with this dog the whole time that Bill was in office. That is, when he wasn't in the middle of a "Lewinsky". And even now I can see Clinton fingerprints all over the actions or lack thereof of this current group of political hacks. Al Capone would be proud of lessons that the OBama crime family learned from his gangster activities.
This is only a mirror of his record in the Senate of voting present. This man does not have the courage to make any decision on anything. Thus the Czars, they make all the decisions that he or congress should be making so if the decision turns to sh--, he has deny ability He is a small minded person who hates the country that gave him the whole world His wife and radical friends hate this country too. So why are people surprised that every move he makes, is designed to destroy this evil land. How pathetic, how selfish and how childish. The liberals and greenies got exactly what they deserved.

Any day now I expec America to wake up.
Any day now I expect our Fabian socialist infested mainstream media to get it right. But alas, we are slowly pouring our liberties down the toilet. When will Americans take off the rose colored glasses and se the reality of Socialism on our doorstep? If the politicians don't get us then it will be a suitcasr bomb from Iran or a missel from N. Korea. If we don't start spreading the word, 2010 election day will come and go and there will be nothing to stop this madman.

Like a spider, Socialism spins its sticky web which holds its victims powerless until they are devoured..

Forty+ years ago I served, then watched, as politicians snatched defeat from the hands of victory and now, to qoute Yogi Berra, "it's deja vu all over again." Politicians draft us into these conflicts, supply just enough support to keep things lively, but not enough to win, then, when it drags on long enough so the people are disenchanted over the whole thing, our leaders switch to political mode in order to get reelected. History is repeating itself. And people die because of it.

There's one simple solution: IF we decide we must go to war, then jump in with both feet, with the ultimate goal of WINNING and allow the managers (Generals) to do what we hired them to do. Do not micromanage! If politicians have the will and desire to go to war in the first place, why is it they don't have enough belief in their own convictions to follow it through? Because they are selfish, arrogant cowards!! I say again.... selfish, arrogant cowards!!

Political BSD and political PC will be the downfall of our country. Mark my words.

I agree with both the direction and intent of this post but words do matter. Until we clearly understand what we are fighting we will be at a disadvantage that may become impossible to overcome. Rep Duncan correctly points out that the American people are fed up with the direction the administration is taking. Treating enemies as criminals. But if we do regain the upper hand in the coming years we should not repeat the mistakes that we have made in the past.

1. The Obama administration considers what happened on 9/11 as a criminal act. This is part of the reason that Hasan wasn't arrested earlier. The FBI had all the information they needed to detain an enemy infiltrator, but if it is a crime, well different rules apply. You cannot detain someone because they say they are going to do something. You can't besmirch someone for what they think. It is perfectly legal for people to think, and talk about the things Hasan thought about and spoke about, if you consider what he did a crime. It isn't until a person's thoughts are put into action and a crime committed that action can be taken to arrest the perpetrator. However, if what he did was an act of war, the object of the military action is to prevent the enemy from acting against you, and Hasan would have been detained long before it got to killing. Unfortunately the war on terror no longer exists, it is over according to Obama. It never existed. And it was treating Hasan as a criminal rather than an enemy combatant that lead to his being at liberty to make his attack.

2. Words matter. We are at war with Islamic Imperialists. Not Islamic terrorists, not radical Islamists. Terrorism is a tactic. Would we have won the war against Japanese Imperialism had Roosevelt declared war on naval aviation, because naval aviators struck Pearl Harbor? I think not. Islamic radicalism is not the source of our danger, but only the fertile ground upon which Islamic Imperialists can grow a vassal force that threatens us in ways our modern concepts of nations states and military force find impossible to comprehend. We can't solve a problem that we can't put accurately into words. Define it accurately as Islamic Imperialism, understand the ancient ways in which it works, then we can defeat it.

No place for PC should go without saying.

War is and should be HELL on the enemy; why else go to war in the first place. If any country is willing to put its people in harms way, they should at least let them fight with both hands.

Politics looses wars; Viet Nam comes to mind.

America and its PC politicians, media, and other America haters will always cause lost wars. If this doesn't change, America should never go to war for any reason...exactly what the lefties want.

America the pitiful and weak.
