Nuclear Hot Social Media Takes on Washington Post’s ‘Bombshell’ Report About FBI Raid

Anti-Trumpers on social media are thrilled outraged at the possibility that former President Donald Trump kept important documentation regarding America’s nuclear weapons at Mar-a-Lago. After The Washington Post published an article reporting that “[c]lassified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the items FBI agents sought in a search of former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence on Monday,” Trump haters issued a barrage of hot takes on the matter, hoping this component of the story would be one of several smoking guns that will finally take down the Orange Man What Is Bad™.

First up, we have actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner, who we can always count on for his dramatic musings on politics. “Crowning a lifetime of Criminality, Donald Trump led an armed mob to overthrow the United States Government then stole America’s nuclear secrets. An Indictment can’t come soon enough for this treasonous MF,” he tweeted before waiting for his blood pressure to go down.

Then, we have far leftist group Occupy Democrats, who is known for posting desperately hysterical tweets about, well, everything. The group tweeted:

BREAKING: Bombshell report reveals that FBI agents were searching for classified documents about NUCLEAR WEAPONS when they raided Mar-a-Lago — a far worse crime than experts were even speculating. RT IF YOU THINK TRUMP MUST BE PROSECUTED!

Former congressman and talk show host Joe Walsh, a conservative who was broken by Trump, also waxed hysterical and used the development to attack the Republican Party:

Nuclear secrets. Wonder what else he was hiding. And he has the entire Republican Party on a leash. Just hilarious. They so deserve it. The entire Republican Party so deserves to be held hostage by him.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, who is currently engaged in a doomed race for governor, also chimed in: “Floridians: if you see someone stealing nuclear secrets, say something.”

I’ll keep that in mind, Nikki. Next time I see someone pilfering nuclear secrets, you will be the first to know.

Last, but most certainly not least, we have MeidasTouch, a group that came to prominence in the failed effort to cancel comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan because he dared to speak with medical experts who disagreed with the Democrat-approved narrative on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines. “Was Donald Trump trying to sell intelligence about our nuclear weapons to foreign adversaries?” they asked.

The Washington Post noted that “[m]aterial about nuclear weapons is especially sensitive and usually restricted to a small number of government officials” and that “[p]ublicizing details about U.S. weapons could provide an intelligence road map to adversaries seeking to build ways of countering those systems.”

This is what the anti-Trump crowd is using to make hay over this revelation. However, the author also notes that the two unnamed sources who came forward “did not say if such documents were recovered as part of the search.”

The bottom line is that we have no idea what type of nuclear documentation the FBI was seeking. Moreover, we don’t even know if they found any of this material in the 15 boxes of documents that agents seized on Monday. But we already know what’s going on here: The Bureau is hoping to find evidence of Trump committing a severe offense and Democrats are praying to their woke god that this happens. It won’t be too long before we know the truth.
