I ran across this link while shearching for the power-point presentation you described (I figured it MUST be on the web somewhere). Apparently, the Indian government has figured out an answer to the question of where the Canadians will go for health care once the American system is as bad as thier own.

I really hope this isn't the change people were voting for back in November.

Socialized anything is dangerous, but allow it to intrude in the medical industry, and it will prove fatal.

Does anyone know if the Mother's Act is tabled, or dead? (US Senate S 3297) I haven't figured out exactly how to search for topics at RS, but I'm sure others are aware of this intrusive piece of legislation. It's a play by Big Pharm to do more harm, and drug mothers and babies alike. Michael Savage was talking about it on 5/26, and did not paint a rosy scenario. I'm sorry to see the source of this is Dr Coburn of Oklahoma. He should know the Hell road this will pave. We don't need mothers to undergo state psychiatric screenings, and receive the drug de jour. And, looking ahead, why would they stop with new mothers. Expecting mothers need help too. Screenings, drugs, social workers. Definitely something to watch out for, and speak out against.

I also learned of some scandals happening over at NIMH-the National Institute of Mental Health. Directors being forced to step down after accepting money from Pharmaceuticals. It sounds like the same thing happening on Wall Street, and Chicago. Thought I might write about it under the catchy title 'Mrs Pharmacy and the Rats at NIMH.' Distrust any government agency that can decide what constitutes crazy.

very obtuse at times. Tonight he took exception to something on Hot Air.

He apparently got it wrong, while also showing that he doesn't understand the idea that resistance to Sotomayor can be carried out by means that never mention gender or race, and that to roll over an play dead for the Dem's is not in our best interests, ever. He didn't have a clue that "block any of Hussein's extremist picks" might be shorthand for "stand up on our hind legs and make some effort to expose Obama's shortcomings," not necessarily actually being able to stop her.

The poor guy needs to listen more and talk less. He must be doing some of his own internet research for that segment.

Liberal students, and their favorite professors, are all on vacation. They've been given their marching orders from the O-holes. Every one wants to write the best paper on 'how I spent my summer,' and tell of their glorious struggle to defend the Left. Let the battle ensue.

I mean I have read much today on Redstate and I can not figure out for the life of me how people who have been here for a year and only have one comment. That one comment seems to be something looney. Did somebody a year ago sign up with a number of accounts and just burns them to cause trouble. It is like having an uninvited guest showing up that can not stand you and just wants to ruin the party. Regardless, tonights volume has been exceedingly high. Anyway I am thankful that I get to go to sleep now. ZZZZZzzzzzz.......

I continue to tell may fathers story to all that will listen. It gets most people's attention. He waited for his knee surgery in Canada for two years. The best thing, he was required to attend a class titled "What to do while you wait for your knee surgery." I laughed so hard when I saw the powerpoint deck on his kitchen table one day when we were up there visiting. I mentioned to him at the time, if only every American could see that deck, and understand what pain Canadians are going thru waiting for their surgeries. In the end, the care was good and he was taken care of; eventually! That is what we have to look forward to, and of course, to wait for.

the first casualties in Obama's cost cutting.

If Republicans were cutting Social Insecurity, The Dem's AARP lackeys and the media would be beating a bass drum drawing attention to it.
As it is the seniors are like cattle going to slaughter.

Like the lady in Britain mentioned in the national news by a British Representative who had breast cancer but sent home to die. No room in a facility to treat her.

Or a blokes Mom who can't walk due to severe pain but is too "old to get knee replacement surgery, cause she's not worth it! (Too old.)

Of course "He" will get the finest care Johns-Hopkins will offer unlike the people he trying to impose his socialists agenda on. (With that smoking he may need it!)

This is the Obama plan.

Reducing research is another cost reduction Daschle mentions. What madness. Most of the major developments come from American companies, but the "O" would destroy that in his effort to cuddle you (and your vote), from the cradle to the grave.

But, my friends, while all the diaries we can write on the poor care that is coming are so true, they still need to point out a larger point.

Socializing American medicine will nationalize 1/7th of the American economy. Now add that to the part of banking that Uncle Sam now owns, and the part of the auto industry that Uncle Sam now owns.
Just like the frog in slowly bowled water, before our very eyes

KARL MARX LIVES! We will soon be a Socialists country if we don't put the brakes on the move. We're halfway there.

Wake up America. Time is running out.

Last week my wife sprained her ankle...Tuesday
She saw her doctor the next day....Wednesday
They took X-rays...
The doctor says she needs to see an orthopedist.
First appt she could get was today...Wednesday
Orthopedist says a bone is broken and unattached from a ligament...
requires surgery. Surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday...
So - two weeks from injury to surgery....
What would a comparable injury timeline be in Canada? Great Britian?
