Senator McConnell, the day you rein in Arlen Specter, Susan Collins, and Olympia Snowe and lead your caucus in holding the line on a transformational piece of legislation like this, we might have space for a kinder word — or even a fun video — for you here at RedState.
However, letting the three votes needed to pass an increase of $800,000,000,000.00 in debt slip away cost you a good bit of goodwill here, at least with me.

It was BARRY , in the KITCHEN, with the BROILER. The steaks did not have a Clue what cooked ‘em.
The smell was so good that we had unexpected company.

Heck after the this Pork bill that was just passed, I’ve gone from adhering to the “5 second rule” for my steaks, to hoping that there will be enough of Lucy’s cold, hard ,cash for Gruel!
I had to sell my BBQ...to buy steaks...so I fashioned one that works pretty good...

I’m not sure if McConnel can reign in the “moderates’ of specter, snowe, & collins because of how senators view themselves – I’ve heard that every senator sees a president in the mirror. McConnel did pretty well just having those 3 defect, given how the senate works.
When this fails, & Obama & the Dems come for more money we don’t have, we can only hope these 3 see the light – I’m not sure if even constituent interaction works with these 3 anymore.
