Below, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) takes us on a brief tour of the 1,073 page “stimulus” package, which was released last night at 11:00pm (after K Street had gotten good and done with it), and on which floor action was to commence at 9am today.
One Hill staffer emailed me that he had to “re-load the printer twice” with paper in order to print the entire bill.
By the way: 535 Members of Congress, 1,073 pages each….isn’t 575,000 pieces of printed paper a bit less environmentally-friendly than the Democratic Congress and Obama administration led us to believe they would be?

I wonder if Blanche Lincoln could be bent
smagar (Diary) Friday, February 13th at 9:51AM EST (link)Seems to me she’s the most vulnerable Dem up for reelection in 2010.
And, we only need one Dem Senator to vote No on this bill, or agree to stall it, or whatever.
She’s vulnerable, and Reid knows it. How much can he control her.
Let’s melt down Lincoln’s phone lines—whaddya say?
Perhaps Mike Huckabee could go on Arkansas talk radio and tell everyone that, now, Blance has a chance to make a difference. If she’ll only act in the interest of her state, instead of her party.
“Who will stand/On either hand/And guard this bridge with me?” (Macaulay)
Really? She's like fifth on my list.

My (combined) wish list.
Lines are busy
MrTwangy (Diary) Friday, February 13th at 10:19AM EST (link)But I got through to my Senators and left messages urging them to vote no.. And to let the people read the bill as promised.. I fear for my children’s future. How in the world can we stop this!
Please Filibuster This!
gardenstateeric (Diary) Friday, February 13th at 10:29AM EST (link)Then announce that we will commit to getting something passed by the end of the month that represents an actual compromise — something simple and without the social policy garbage in this monster.
