Doug Kmiec Hopes to Spread the Myth of the “Pro-Life Democrat” to the Vatican

There’s no such thing as a pro-life Democrat, as my good friend Leon Wolf has repeatedly demonstrated here on RS.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped the besotted Doug Kmiec from continuing in his effort not only to convince conservatives that the radically pro-abortion President Obama is, in fact, pro-life (because he “listens,” of course), but to transfer his unofficial ambassadorship on behalf of Obama to conservatives and, more importantly, to the Church, into a similar but official role — in other words, to be Obama’s personal (sycophantic) mouthpiece to the Vatican.

According to the Catholic News Agency:

Pepperdine University law professor Doug Kmiec, a pro-life advocate of President Barack Obama’s election, has stated that he thinks he will be considered as a choice for U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See. …

The President is nowhere close to determining such things because of the order of events … everyone’s first order of business is economic recovery,” Kmiec said. “At the appropriate time, when diplomatic relations through the State Department need to be addressed, I think my name would be part of the discussion.”

Actually, Professor Kmiec, if you were actually paying attention to events (rather than claiming that your eyesight, obscured by scales as it is, was 20/20 with regard to observing your Oval Office-dwelling human idol), you’d see that the real “order of events: — or “first order of business,” as it were — isn’t “economic recovery,” but the repeal of a policy that protects human life by preventing American tax dollars from being sent outside the country to fund abortions. You remember what “abortions” are, don’t you? The willful taking of innocent human life that you so vocally opposed right up until the moment you sold your soul for a position in the Obamadministration?

Then again, had Congress gotten it to him, Obama would have made his “first order of business,” according to his own words, signing an Act expressly written to remove legal limits on infant slaughter.

But don’t let that deter you from proclaiming to America and to the Holy See that Obama is, really, deep down, pro-life.

Maybe appointing Kmiec will be the insult

it will take to wake up the way too many Catholics who continue to vote for Demoncrats (that’s not a typo). How far we will have fallen to replace the eminently qualified and fully orthodox Mary Ann Glendon with a heterodox maroon like Kmiec.

Hey I can hope for that kind of change, can’t I?

Perhaps if he ends up at the Vatican

they can talk some sense into him.

The Vatican wouldn't accept him as ambassador.

They are very picky on that subject, they’ve refused several from various EuroWeenie states.

To this day, the thought of Obama Pro-not-abortion

DONTREADONME (Diary) Wednesday, January 28th at 11:46PM EST (link)

is somewhat of a disturbance to me. I hate to be conspiratorial on this matter, but Obama must have hyptonized people into thinking somehow that he was against abortion. Does anyone remember the comment “do not want to punish them with a baby”? Arrgghh, if I was the Vatican, I would request a American bishop to be the diplomat.
