A Sneak Preview of the Clean, Earth-Friendly Goodness we Have to Look Forward to Under the Earth-First/Mother Gaia Crowd

Way to set that example, folks.

Then again, Do as I Say, Not as I Do has always been much more of your strong suit than actually living an example, hasn’t it? (Case in point: PETA’s penchant for protecting everybody’s animals except their own, which they enjoy slaughtering in very large numbers).

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Weary

Belle (Diary) Wednesday, January 21st at 1:16PM EST (link)

I am growing weary of talking with liberals. They refuse to LISTEN to your views. Their view is the only view. When you show proof of how wrong they were about something they ignore it. When you mention that you do not like “The One” they are outraged, yet they are allowed to bash Bush. As with the picture above, liberals tend to be a mite hypocritical.

I can’t watch the news anymore because looking or listening to Obama makes me nauseous. I do not even want to talk or hang out with my liberal “friends”.

On the bright side of things, It’s sunny out and not as cold as it has been. It’s a few more days until the weekend so I am just going to smile.

I belong to a quasi guild type organization that has nothing to do with politics (It has to do with Fashion/Makeup). I don’t pay money to be in it, but get emails about industry events they are sponsoring, etc.

I got an email from the president of the group on Monday recognizing MLK’s achievements and how WE SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING TUESDAY.

I proceeded to respectfully email him back, asking him to refrain from using his mailing list for his personal political views.

He emailed me back saying he was “confused by my email”. Aren’t I proud, no matter WHAT race I was.?

These liberals don’t want to know anything about anything. They just dont’ get it….

I am also trying to take a media hiatus….

Our million+ men barely left a couple bags of garbage lying around

HomeBase Wednesday, January 21st at 1:21PM EST (link)

Back in Oct of ’97, I was privileged to take part in a million+man prayer rally there. All in all, I think 1.6 million men showed up to pray & repent for our country. Beyond the incredible peacefulness and tranquility of it all, there was no mess. None.

In contrast, this picture of the very same area we were at, is appalling.

I was there, too...

acasilaco Wednesday, January 21st at 9:56PM EST (link)

…in ’97. It was a wonderful event, and we didn’t leave a mess. (I think I vaguely recall that an announcement was made at the end reminding everyone to clean up.)

Do we know for sure if those photos above are really from yesterday at the Mall? If so, that’s disappointing.

Rule #5: If you are using the language of the left, you probably aren’t furthering conservativism
Rule #6: The priority is issues first, candidates second, and supporters third. Nobody is bigger than the issues. Conversely, if you spend your time focusing on supporters, you are wasting everyone’s time.

I saw the lead photograph at another site with the headline something like, “Now the rebuilding begins.”. I thought it was Gaza!

Regarding PETA. These people are criminals of the first magnitude. I went to the link and was stunned at the level of carnage for which these oh so compassionate “only trying to help” liberals are responsible. I have five cats, two were feral, one was a stray and two were born to one of the ferals. (She was pregnant when I brought her in and I wouldn’t consider an abortion.) The staggering level of pain, suffering and death these people cause is beyond belief. Call me an irrational zealot but I wish them nothing but ill will.

Never give in! Never! Never! Never!

Bush Administration Fails Again

From the look of the overflowing trash cans and recycle bins it looks as if people TRIED to do the right thing, but once again the Bush administration was woefully unprepared for the million+ people who were PREDICTED to come out in support of President Barack Obama. I was listening to right wing radio prior to this and heard the host say that there was NO way the drive by media could tell whether the attendance of this inauguration would be in the millions. Heads in the sand once again people. You “wingers” just don’t get it. The world has changed and passed you by.

Streets are littered because of George Bush.

noufa Wednesday, January 21st at 4:37PM EST (link)

Nobody volunteers/sacrifices unless asked to do so by George Bush. People can’t afford their mortgages because of George Bush. Other countries hate us because of George Bush.

Obama’s high approval ratings are not without precedent. Last time we were this “united” was 2001. Many on the left said (with clenched teeth) that they were proud of Bush’s response to 9/11.

Yet this is a 50/50 partisan nation. So it was only natural that they would part with Bush ASAP. That’s why I don’t fault the left for disagreeing with me on Iraq. Nor was I surprised that the EU asserted itself on the world stage as a counter-balance to the USA.

But I deeply resent the way AMERICANS went abroad & fanned the flames of anti-Americanism. Jimmy Carter & Al Gore openly campaigned against Bush for the Nobel Peace Prize. The election of Obama isn’t going to undo that damage.

European establishment types have the President that they wanted. But Russia will continue to make life miserable for “New Europe”. The illiterate Arab street once embraced Obama, thinking he was a Muslim. Now they’re drawing the equally preposterous conclusion that he’s a Zionist stooge. Half of Latin America is being run by Fidelistas. And North Korea is already “testing” Obama:

http://www.csmonitor.com/2009/0120/p06s01-woap.html

I am bored of being told that I must embrace Obama. I still don’t like him. I still don’t trust him. I will continue to speak out against him. I will not nurse a grudge only to let it explode at a time where it can do the most possible damage to my country.

It’s one thing to criticize the president in the public arena & have it taken out of context by Al-Jazeera. It’s quite another thing to throw a hissy-fit & direct it towards in international audience (see the Dixie Chicks). Wouldn’t it be nice if opponents of Bush acknowledged the damage they have done to our nation?

Bush is gone. The mess is still here.

“Obama is not a centrist. He was never centrist. He is a uniter. He does reach across the aisle. But he always do so in pursuit of progressive ends.”

Contrast this with Promise Keepers circa 1997-1998

AceInTX (Diary) Wednesday, January 21st at 5:22PM EST (link)

I don’t remember when it was exactly when we had the Promise Keepers Rally there…there were anywhere between 750,000 to 1,000,000 people there and by all accounts from the national park service we left the mall cleaner than when we got there….

Kinda speaks volumes about the difference between the leftists and a primarily SoCon crowd doesn’t it?

The “Big Tent” analogy isn’t the correct one…the correct one is a MAGNET…we need to be a MAGNET that draws these independents in who are sick and tired of what’s going on in WashingtonFred Thompson

I was at Washington for Jesus in 1980.

mbecker908 (Diary) Wednesday, January 21st at 5:33PM EST (link)

We had about a million people on the mall. A friend of mine was one of the national coordinators for the event and worked in DC. The DC police chief kept trying to get Johnny to call off the rally (he couldn’t have) but after the rally he told Johnny that the mall was cleaner when we left than before the rally started. “Your friends can come to DC any time they want to.” was the chief’s parting comment.

Speaks well of us Bible thumpers doesn't it?

AceInTX (Diary) Wednesday, January 21st at 5:40PM EST (link)

Of course the press wouldn’t cover that!

I remember in the eighties when I worked construction in DC during the Beach Boy Concerts…it took 600 dump trucks and 3 weeks to clean up the mess!

I had a ball though ogling and drooling over Joan Jett in my early twenties after about 20 or so bears and 3rd degree sunburn because I didn’t have enough sense to get out of the sun!

Obama inauguration sets new record for private jets

speciallist (Diary) Wednesday, January 21st at 10:13PM EST (link)

Reporters confirm that over 600 private jets will have touched down at Washington D.C. for the Obama inauguration.

The Washington Dulles runway was closed as early last Saturday to make room for some of the planes to park. And the Metropolitan Washington Airports claimed that they were expecting a total of 500 private jets to land during inauguration week.

“That would set a record, topping the 300 the airport accommodated for President George W. Bush’s 2004 inaugural,” claimed an Airports Authority.
