Just watched Michelle Malkin on Glenn Beck’s FNC show. And boy is she wrong about how the American people feel about politicians.
Malkin tried to link the radicalism, anarchy and bullying of the wacky left to the bad opinions Americans have about politicians. Democratic politicians, in her way of thinking.
I beg to differ. Sure, she is right insofar as she went, but she is wrong to leave out the Republicans.
Michelle, Americans have had it up to here (holds up hand two feet above head) with ALL politicians. We know they are all thieves, liars, thugs, whores, bastards, and untrustworthy in the extreme.
I will admit there may be half a dozen worthwhile polticians, but they are guilty for NOT taking firm action against the rest of them. Standing around while your gang kills someone makes you guilty. Standing by and letting your party sell us all out makes them just as guilty.
Stop trying to shield the Republicans, Michelle. Kick a few of them under the bus. Come on. It feels great to realize that the people have the power to TAKE the Republican party away from the scumbags who run it now.

civil truth (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 7:25PM EST (link)…and RedStateis not the site to engage in generalize bashing of Republican politicians.
Targeted and specific criticisms are welcomed, but not this “they’re all crooks” mentality, because in the presence of the current Democratic supermajority and the radicalism of the current Democratic leadership, such a mentality will open the door to a left-wing dicatatorship.
The greatest evil…is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern. -C.S. Lewis

Scope (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 7:46PM EST (link)has done tremendous research for her latest book. Oh yes, there are some “wacky” Republicans, as Pat Cadell (former Sr. Advisor to Jimmah Cater) pointed out, but I have never experienced such corruption, thugery, appointments of known Communists, and deceit in any administration. If you can’t see the dramatic change in your grandfathers D party, you are blind. The R’s surely have some problems, however, they have never been for taking over the country yesterday. Get a clue.
Don't be foolish, fellow Republicans
jccbin (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 9:10PM EST (link)EVERY single DC politician takes part in the favor-trading, earmarking, elitist cult that exists in DC. As a lifelong Republican, I say this clearly: My country is much more important than any political party. Turn your blind eyes where you will, but any (R) that puts up with the scum out of Washington is an accessory after the fact.
It is intent that all the so-called political insiders be eviscerated from the party and real people take their place.
You aren't surprising many if any here.
JSobieski (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 10:20PM EST (link)Many of us are conservatives first, Republicans second. We simply acknowledge the reality (conservatism is anti-utopian) that third party voting => the more liberal candidate wins.
So, we work within the party structure, but we have no illusions . . . just hopes and a willingess to work for what we want.
My rules of the road for primary season.
Rule #1: Vote for YOUR first choice in the primaries
Rule #2: Vote for the R in the general.
Rule #3: Don’t let anyone convince you to violate Rule #1 or Rule #2
Rule #4: When in a center-right argument, reaffirm Rules #1-#3–it will help us all to get along better.
Rule #5: If you are using the language of the left, you probably aren’t furthering conservativism
Rule #6: The priority is issues first, candidates second, and supporters third. Nobody is bigger than the issues. Conversely, if you spend your time focusing on supporters, you are wasting everyone’s time.
STOP THE MADNESS!
A reduction in the rate of spending increases is NOT a cut!
In-state tuition for illegals is NOT amnesty!
Requiring someone to pay their medical bills is NOT an individual mandate!
Reducing tax rates is NOT a tax increase!
No to 3rd Parties!
jccbin (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 10:41PM EST (link)I heartily agree that 3rd parties are NOT the way to go!
Our national history is clear that third party movements get absorbed by one party or the other. Terrific! Let’s skip the 3rd party part and force Constitutional conservatism throughout the Republican party.
And cut out the dead wood while we are at it.
OK, THAT I'm perfectly down for. :)

Does that mean....
jccbin (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:04AM EST (link)you would vote for the Republican even if the Democrat was MORE conservative?
We’re talkin’ southern Dems around here.
Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t vote for Bobby Bright – D (my Ala. rep.), but I am glad he is voting conservatively, even if under duress from a deluge of Tea Party-ers like me.
Yes, I would have preferred the Republican, and won’t likely vote for Bright ever, but Bright’s voting beats Olympia Snow’s for sure – right now. I’d have preferred the LOCAL Republican candidate instead of Jay Love but voted for Love despite the fact he actively talked down to us rural folk in the district.
The reason we vote Republican instead of Democrat
Richard Mullins (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:09AM EST (link)is because congressman Bright has to vote Pelosi for speaker. It’s not good.

Let’s Bankrupt the Democratic paty. Make spend all the money to defend thier candidates.
Yup. Not that it matters - my Rep's Elijah Cummings...
Moe Lane (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:14AM EST (link)…but at this point any Republican is preferable to any Democrat in any spot*. To use your example, Bobby Bright is part of the caucus that put Nancy Pelosi in as Speaker, Henry Waxman as Energy Chair, and Charlie Rangel as Ways & Means. Which is one reason why we pointed out Martha Roby, actually.
*I have a list of Democrats who should start thinking about switching parties, mind you. Not many – no more than three or four – but some.

Yeah. Don't get me wrong: people like Specter?
Moe Lane (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:22AM EST (link)Or Chafee? They’re problems – not because they believe differently, but because they don’t believe in anything at all besides staying in office. The Ladies from Maine don’t actually bug me, because they’re known quantities, you can predict their reactions, and they don’t whale on the GOP every chance they get. Specter felt entitled, and liked to show it.

That feeling of Entitlement
jccbin (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:29AM EST (link)is the first thing that needs to go. SO many of these Pols would be better at the jobs we give them if they dropped that feeling. Sadly, when you’ve been in office for 20+ years it is hard remember what real life is like.
good night
Excellent point---so a democrat would have to be far more conservative
JSobieski (Diary) Tuesday, September 1st at 10:41PM EST (link)than the Republican to offset the whole caucus thing, in which case, you would have to ask “Why are you a democrat anyway?”

MM is not wrong.
americanmale Friday, August 28th at 12:00AM EST (link)Oh come on, house and senate republicans may be guilty of over spending. They may be guilty of swinging too far to the left. But heck, they never tried to fundamentally alter the framework of the government. I mean really, these democrats are are brazingly moving us from a capitalist to a socialist structure.
Health care reform is a red herring. The main mission is to eradicate the insurance industry, which coincidentally is the last bastion of financial soundness in america. The insurance industry has stringent requirements that makes them financially impenetrable. Insurance has something to do with 20% of the gross domestic product (healthcare payments, premiums, etc.) They are infrastructure and a barrier.
Those democrats need to eliminate it to continue the quest of government run enterprise.
MM is spot on her writings. She is write to concentrate on the super majority. Why waste time beating on the republicans. That only adds fuel to the liberal pack mentality fire.
MM can be both wrong and right, diff issues
jccbin (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:24AM EST (link)My main criticism with Malkin’s appearance today was her dogged defense of the Republicans as though they were clean as the driven snow.
I honestly think that such partisanship just cements the “I can’t trust ANY of you,” mindset that many Americans have.
I’m not asking MM or Redstate to throw anyone under the bus. I am suggesting that the viewing public is “hip” to that part of the political game and reads such stuff as insincere and manipulative, regardless of its intent, and, as such, attribute bad intent.
It looked like MM was picking on Pat Cadell (sp?) instead of saying what I wanted to hear: “Yes, both parties are made of humans with human weaknesses and we need to get the bad guys out and straighten out the ones drawn astray.”
Also, Moe, negotiating for a new bike, start by asking for a pony and let the parent’s talk you into a new bike. I’m “demanding” perfection and superhumanity, knowing full well that I won’t get it. But if I ask for half-arse, I will get total slacker. Or, as my sleepy mind likes to sometimes say:
“Moderation is a result, not a starting point.”
God bless our conservative and Republican leaders.
