Republicans will be back

This is my last post at Redstate.  I can no longer support the efforts here.  I respect everyones opinion and believe that diversity of ideas make us better.  I also support the right to express yourself in whatever fashion you please.  However a comment was made today about President Obama on redstate that in good conscience I cannot support.  I know a lot of intolerable and mean comments were said about President Bush, his adminstration, Governor Palin and most recently Governor Jindal.  And I understand that republicans and conservatives want to repond to President Obama with the same intensity.  But anger, rage and race comments will not help the party or the conservative movement.  The republican party has to be better than this.

Ideas and thoughts for the Republican Party

I have some thoughts and ideas that I would like to share for discussion.  These are actually suggestions for Michael Steele. More will follow at a later time.

Michael Steele- take a page from the democrats and do a listening tour.  Travel the country region by region and state by state.  Meet with local leaders and do local television.  Build a database of local elected officials and financial supporters.  Schedule appearances at every college that will have you.   Secondly, join redstate and every republican leaning blog you can find.  Create your own blog.  Third, hire new faces for your staff.  Go to the unrepublican places such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Ottawa and bring some thought provoking, media savy, current contemporary writers, bloggers, storytellers, partgoers, whomever you can find to help make the republican party relevant in 2009.

Third, its cement shoes time for the brilliant strategists who either wrote Jindals speech, did the backdrop, forgot to tell him to button his coat, did not do the necessary background check on his speech, and most importantly recommended that he give the response which he should not have done.  lastly, issue a statement that you will support republicans including the three moderates who voted with the democrats.  Inform those that want to be in the republican party that we are a family.  And like a family we will stand together.  No more public criticisms of fellow republicans.  Any issues will be solved internally.  Also we will defend our elected and appointed officials.  Apologize to Sarah Palin for the lack of defense in last years election and promise that it will never happen again.

 Update the website again.

“Senator” Caroline Kennedy is just the beginning

If you think Caroline is doing this just to be a Senator you better think again.  Barak Obama owes the Kennedys big time.  She is going to get appointed because of her connections, background, and Obama.  If you thing Patterson has problems now, what do you think will happen if he passes on Kennedy.  My own opinion is that she has looked at what Obama and Hillary Clinton have done and has come to the conclusion that she can do the same.  And every democrat in New York and across the country know it.  I think she wants to suceed Obama.  If you think the 2000 election between Bush and Gore and 2008 democratic election between Clinton and Obama were great, then wait until 2016 when you may have the Hillary, Caroline and Sarah.

President Barak Obama

There has been a lot of discussion regarding Barak Obama’s birth certificate and his legitimacy as President-elect of the United States.  I would like to share a couple of thoughts that may not sit well with some and I may be the only person on this site that may feel this way.

First, Barak Obama does not have to prove his citizenship.  If someone wants to question it, then it is encumbent upon them to prove otherwise.

Second, Race.  His and those who are filing these lawsuits.

Third, there will be many reasons to oppose President Obama but this is not one of them.

Gov Daniels

  • Republicans should consider Mitch Daniels of Indiana in the thought of who could run for national office. Gov Daniels has won two landslide terms in Indiana and has helped the state make progress while other midwestern states have suffered serious job losses.

I also think the RNC needs a complete makeover. The website is outdated and lacks vision. There is too much sarcasm about Obama and Biden and not nearly enough regarding issues and a blueprint for the future.
