On Hannity Tonight

I’ll be on Sean Hannity’s Great American Panel tonight at 9:30 with Gov. Bob Ehrlich and Rev. Jacques DeGraff.

It’s going to be a really good panel tonight, so I hope you’ll tune in to it.

Consider this an open thread.

Joe Biden Says We Are In A Depression

I though the stimulus was working.

Sean Hannity brings us some video of Joe Biden this week contradicting everything we have heard from the White House so far. According to Joe Biden, the American economy is not in a recession, but a depression.

We’ve got the video. And we owe Hannity a big thanks because you and I both know everyone else would bury this but for Sean and Fox News. No wonder the White House has declared war on them.

H/t to Justin Hart too.

Tune your radio to Sean Hannity

With Obama’s numbers falling, Sean Hannity is going to have Scott Rasmussen on at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the polling trends.

I was surprised today to wake up and see the Drudge headline about Obama’s popularity. Very, very interesting. And Rasmussen has been tracking the trend for a while.

This should make for a very interesting interview.

Good Grief

That was by far the most interesting experience I have ever had on the Great American Panel.

First off, Bob Beckel is actually awesome. Just so you know. He’s unrepentant and a liberal, but he’s great.

My goodness, though. That whole discussion about Hitler being brilliant and the UN birth control stuff was something else. And this is the problem, I think, with a lot of the younger Hollywood crowd.

If you missed it, one of the panelists, Aubrey O’Day, tonight thought it was a-okay to teach 5 year olds about sex and stuff. The whole topic was rather uncomfortable knowing my four year old was watching. Aubrey said that things in New York and Africa are different and we should should start teaching kids about sex and homosexuality and transgendered people, etc.

Really? Seriously?

That we are unwilling to let kids be kids is one of the greatest problems of our age. Marketers have pole dancing dolls. Clothiers have slutty clothes for kindergartners. We reap what we sow and the crop we’re growing is going to be seriously deformed with cavalier attitudes on social norms.

I’ll be on Hannity at 9:30 p.m. ET tonight

If you get bored tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET, you can tune in to see me on the Great American Panel on Hannity.

Consider this an open thread.

I’m on Hannity’s Great American Panel tonight

Live from New York at 9:30 ET. I’ll be on with Barbara Eden and Steve Elmendorf.

Yes, that Barbara Eden.

Oh, and then I’m running off to see Star Trek at the Lincoln Center!

The Atlanta Tea Party Just Got Bigger

April 15th was going to see a big tea party in front of Georgia’ Gold Dome, but it just got bigger.

Tonight on Fox News, Sean Hannity intends to announce that he’ll be live from Atlanta that evening covering the Atlanta Tea Party in front of Georgia’s State Capitol Building.

He’s asked me to be there with him. I’m looking forward to it.

If you’re interested, be at the steps of the Capitol in Atlanta by 6pm on April 15, 2009. We will make sure the nation hears that we’re sick and tired of out of control government, both from the Democrats and the Republicans.

Rush and Hannity listeners most informed about US politics

The guys at Open Left attack CNBC viewers for not being particularly well informed. I think that they missed the tastiest story about a Pew research poll about news habits.

The tastiest bit is that of all the categories, as measured in the poll, people who get their news from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are the most informed about US poltics. (at least if you accept Pew’s metric).

Let’s look at the numbers:

Outlet US House Control Name Sec State Name UK PM All Three
New Yorker/The Atlantic 71 71 59 48
NPR 73 72 57 44
Hardball 76 66 53 43
Hannity 84 73 49 42
Rush Limbaugh 83 71 41 36
CNBC 51 45 28 17
TV News Magazines 56 44 28 16
All Resp 53 42 28 18

On the question of naming the House majority party, 84% of Hannity viewers get it right. 83% of Limbaugh viewers get it right.  Hardball (MSNBC) is next at 76%. I can’t tell if that difference is statistically significant.

On the question of naming teh Secretary of State, Hannity’s viewers are again the highest at 73%, while NPR’s are next, and Limbaugh readers tie with readers of the New Yorker and the Atlantic. (presumably combined because the samples are so small) Here, Hardball viewers are down at 66%.

Now, to get an over-all number that doesn’t place Hannity and Rush at the top, there is a question about UK Prime Minister. And, admittedly, they perform worse. However, somewhat ironically, more Hannity viewers can identify the UK Prime Minister than BBC viewers. And Rush listeners are only 3% less.

Now what to make of all this? Rush and Hannity get bragging rights of a sort.

How does that work for the arrogant lefties who think that they are smarter than everyone? Like those guys at OpenLeft. Not so hot? Then maybe they shouldn’t have started the debate…

Keith Olbermann - Go Back To ESPN

Conservative-hating MSNBC host Keith Olbermann is known for attacking Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh (i.e. guys who crush Olbermann in the ratings) on a daily basis for a slip up or error these hosts may make from time to time.  Last night, Olbermann and Howard Dean were attacking five governors (there are actually six) who are considering rejecting stimulus money on Countdown with Keith Olbermann when they engaged in a discussion of Missouri politics.  The conversation was very instructive of the lack of depth of knowledge that Olberman and Dean have with regard to the day to day politics in America.

The two expert analysts evidenced a complete lack of knowledge about current events in a bizarre discussion (see below) where they slammed Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) for voting against the stimulus, yet taking credit for provisions he was able to insert in the bill while running for re-election.  The problem with this analysis is that Senator Kit Bond has announced that he is not running for re-election in 2010.  Keith Olbermann — you and Howard Dean are this weeks worst political analysts on national TV.

Fairness Doctrine on Steroids is On the Way

The evidence is mounting day by day that the left is getting ready to use the new power they have in the Obama Administration and Congress to reinstate something similar to The Fairness Doctrine.  Two Senators recently expressed an interest in providing government mandated “balance” to talk radio.  Liberal Democrats are preparing to use the full force of the federal government to attack conservative talk radio, especially leaders like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Matt Drudge, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham and other conservative/libertarian leaders.

Liberal Senators will use the roadmap written by the left wing Center for American Progress I refer to as the Fairness Doctrine on Steroids that would implement a comprehensive stifling of conservative talk radio. The lefty’s idea is different from the fairness doctrine, yet it would be a more effective tool to stifle conservatives on the radio. So much for the First Amendment.
