Thus a change of government by free elections cannot be a <em>coup</em>.</p> <p>That said, if you're positing a grand conspiracy and somehow think you're on the correct site for such theories (this is a conservative and Republican site), then please fill us in with enough information that we can assess your data here, rather than referring us to your blog site.</p> You can’t elect a coup – by definition, a coup (which I assume you’re using as shorthand for coup d’état) constitutes an overthrow of an established government by force.
