Sarah Palin endorses…no one

In addition to the good news of Ken Buck having earned his way onto the primary ballot the old fashioned honest way, Palin decides to focus on bread and butter (or meat and potatoes, or whatever metaphor you prefer) issues in a great speech Saturday.

Erick had a great post earlier on this. Whatever you said to Sarah, Erick, or maybe your work on redstate did the trick, but thanks for contributing to Sarah’s decision to let the people of Colorado decide this one.

I’m starting to wish Grayson had won the primary.

OK, so I went from neutral on Grayson/Paul a few months ago, pointing out that he answered less than ideally to a question about abortion. I eventually chalked that up to his brand of literal, libertarian federalism, and articles by Mr. Erickson and others made me feel better about the whole prospect of this man winning the Republican primary. So I ended up rooting for Paul.

But now, I am hearing noises on the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Anything less than unequivocal support for this is troublesome. I know he backpedaled, and I’m sure he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body, and I understand where he is coming from. He basically agrees with the 1883 Supreme Court ruling that overturned the 1964 Act’s progenitor, the Civil Rights Act of 1875.

Worse, he just canceled at the 11th hour a confirmed MTP appearance. This is really bad. David Gregory is as liberal as they come, but if you have the courage of your convictions and believe in the conservative cause, you can walk into any lion’s den and come out smelling like a rose no matter how liberal the questions may be tainted. It’s bad enough to pass on an opportunity to state your case for why Kentucky should elect you as their next senator in a respected venue with a national audience. It’s worse to flake out like a prima donna and cancel at the 11th hour. He did this because he does not want us to know where he stands on fundamentally important matters regarding the national government’s role in regulating our lives. And he does not want us to know why. And he does not feel that his rationale can withstand the scrutiny of a few pointed questions.

So I know I’m supposed to rally around the flag and support the Republican and all that. However, we may have a problem brewing in Kentucky.

This is why we fight for a Republican House in 2010

In the spirit of Erick’s recent reminder to work as hard as we can to elect conservatives in the primary, but to come home to our party–the Republican Party–in the general…to come home to the party of our conservative ascendancy…I bring you this flashback of the man who will lead the FULL STOP of Obama’s destructive socialist agenda from January 3, 2011 to January 20, 2013. One of my heroes, Representative (the highest ranking title in America IMHO) John Boehner.

HELL NO YOU CAN’T!

Minority Leader John Boehner had this to say in opposition to the Obamacare bill:

Democrat 2008 slogan: “Yes We Can.”

Republican 2010 slogan: “Hell No You Can’t!”

I want to hear every single Republican running for Congress this November echoing Mr. Boehner on the campaign trail. Give voice to the anger that We, the People feel, and you will ride a ridal wave of support into control of BOTH houses of Congress!

Anyone who’s got a problem with Boehner at this point has got a problem with me. Go John Go!

Genesis Chapter 1: Health Care Style

In the beginning of the 111th Congress, We, the People created the Democrat Congress and the Democrat Presidency.

And the Presidency was without nicorette, and bumming; and darkness was upon the face of his visage. And the spirit of Obama moved upon the Speaker from San Francisco.

And Obama said, “Let there be health care.” And there was health care the Senate Bill.

And Obama saw the Senate Bill, that it was “aw-ite.”

And the Democrat House Prochoice Caucus called the Senate Bill “aw-FUL” and the House Bill “murderously delightful.” And the Senate Bill and the House Bill were the First Act.

And the People of Massachusetts said, “Let there be a 60th Senator in the midst of the Senate, and let it divide the cloture from the filibuster.”

And the People of Massachusetts made the Senator Brown, and divided the cloture from the senators which were above the filibuster: and it was so.

And the People of Massachusetts called the 41st vote Heaven. And the end of the Democrat Senate supermajority and the cloture were the Second Act.

And the Speaker from San Francisco said, “Let the Senate Bill under the House Bill be gathered together unto one piece of legislation, and let The Great One’s signature appear upon it: and it was so

And the Speaker called the Democrat House Prochoice Caucus and told them to keep their mouths shut; and the gathering together of the votes called she Whipping: and the Speaker saw that it was good a hard face lift.

And Stupak da Yooper said, “Let the pro-life Democrats bring forth opposition, the Blue Dogs yielding to life, and the angry constituent phone calls and emails yielding to fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the Congress, and it was so.

And the People brought forth angry constitutent phone calls, and emails yielding results after their kind, and the phone tree yielding busy signals: and the Democrats in at-risk districts saw that it was good bad.

And the Hard Lift and Stupak Dozen were the Third Act.

And Deb “The Wasserlady” Schultz said, “Let there be lights shown upon this Senate Bill, that it actually isn’t antichoice, that it in fact, is neutral on the subject;” to divide the steam from the ears of the silently stewing Democrat House Prochoice Caucus, and to divide the dandruff from the heads of the Blue Dogs as they scratched their heads in wonderment at this characterization.

And the Speaker from San Francisco said, “Let their be budgetary savings for seasons, and for days, and years.”

And the CBO said the Medicare fix makes it red.

And the Speaker met with Stupak da Yooper, which made the Democrat House Prochoice Caucus sore afraid. And the Honorable DeGe(nere)tte Feminazi from Colorado said, “Let our Prochoice Caucus bring forth the living rage after our kind, cattle, and creepy thing, and beast of the Congress after our kind, to march to the Speaker’s Office in a huff: and it was so.

And Stupak da Yooper held a press conference Saturday morning, and said:

?

Inspiration for this came from the KJV of the first verses of the Bible, with no disrespect intended.

This is what happens when the unstoppable force of Obama’s narcissistic man-child will meets the immovable object of the Holy Prochoice Grail of Democrat orthodoxy:

Altmire Votes No

I know short fluff entries are forbidden but hopefully you forgive me this one-off. This is HUGE. Anyone who watched him on Fox News Sunday could see he was leaning strongly toward “yes.”

Either this means that Pelosi already has the votes and was able to let Altmire vote no, or the dam is breaking and the Democrats are in serious trouble. Thoughts? (Hard analysis preferred over wishful thinking, please).

Obama Sinks to -21; Political Tsunami Scheduled to Hit Washington in 228 Days

The President’s Interview with Bret Baier–finally, The One is challenged. This morning across America, Truth dawns. The crimson tide gathers momentum as it rolls ever closer–up the Potomac toward Capitol Hill.

President Obama is correct when he pleads with his own party to pass this lest his effectiveness be completely diminished. However, this bill, as bad as it is, is not the cause of his problem. This whole process and the bill that has come out of it have just been major symptoms of his real problem. The real problem for Obama–the cause of his ineffectiveness is We, the People. We have been heard, are being heard, and will be heard. We are the thorn in his side. Obama’s ineffectiveness is our country’s salvation. Rush hoped Obama would fail. And whether this bill passes or not, Obama has failed spectacularly. And our Republic will endure.
