Criticizing The President Only Strengthens Our Enemies

It\'s naive, too, apparently...

So sayeth White House deputy national security adviser John Brennan, at least. Funny how that never occurred to him and his fellow Democrats when George W. Bush was in the White House. Someone needs to be taken out behind the woodshed. Consider Brennan’s whining and bellyaching about being called out for sucking at his job:

Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill. They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community. And the notion that America’s counterterrorism professionals and America’s system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

The Democrats don’t have a very long memory, nor do they have much of an attention span. Let’s take a trip down Nancy Pelosi’s memory lane shall we?

“Bush is an incompetent leader. In fact, he’s not a leader,” Pelosi said. “He’s a person who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon.”
[snip]
“He has on his shoulders the deaths of many more troops, because he would not heed the advice of his own State Department of what to expect after May 1 when he … declared that major combat is over,” Pelosi charged. “The shallowness that he has brought to the office has not changed since he got there.”
[snip]
“Not to get personal about it, but the president’s capacity to lead has never been there. In order to lead, you have to have judgment. In order to have judgment, you have to have knowledge and experience. He has none,” Pelosi said.
[snip]
“This president has demonstrated very clearly that he does not have the capacity to present a plan to transition,” she said.

“The only way we can get more troops from other countries is to have a president who respects the other countries. It’s hopeless for George Bush. He has made it hopeless.”

Brennan (and others in his party now worried that the Obama Administration’s failures-most especially in the area of Foreign Policy-might just result in a loss of power and a lot of Democrats sitting on their own front porches come December 2010) seems to be under the impression that the only reason anyone is criticizing Obama is because of some perceived political gain:

Politics should never get in the way of national security. But too many in Washington are now misrepresenting the facts to score political points, instead of coming together to keep us safe.

Apparently Brennan didn’t tie off with Pelosi before making such a claim:

“The risk in many of us speaking out in the way that I’m speaking out to you right now is that people will say, ‘Oh, it’s just political,’ ” Pelosi said.

Yet in the end, Pelosi said, she is confident that the failures in Iraq, as well as discontent over domestic issues, will defeat Bush in November.

“He’s gone,” Pelosi said of Bush. “He’s so gone.”

That’s pretty much where we are now with Obama, Nance…but thanks for playing.

PS-Can I replay one tiny little crumb over again for effect please?

In order to lead, you have to have judgment. In order to have judgment, you have to have knowledge and experience.

Now who ELSE might I say that about…hmm, let me think…

Ted Kennedy:
“I believe that this Administration is indeed leading this country to a perilous place. It has broken faith with the American people, aided and abetted by a Congressional majority willing to pursue ideology at any price, even the price of distorting the truth. On issue after issue, they have moved brazenly to impose their agenda on America and on the world. They have pursued their goals at the expense of urgent national and human needs and at the expense of the truth. America deserves better.
The Administration and the majority in Congress have put the state of our union at risk, and they do not deserve another term in the White House or in control of Congress.”

They say Republicans are for the rich, Democrats are for the poor.
If they need more voters,
then they have to make more of who they are for.

We are there in the various Tea Party groups, leaderless, but not rudderless.
We steer always toward the Constitutional principles this nation was founded upon.

It is and has been elected Republicans, and only Republicans, who have always honored the old “Politics ends at the water’s edge.” Elected Democrats, from the state house to the White House, will say or do anything for political advantage, including leaking sensitive information.

Obviously, among the general population (as opposed to politicians), both parties have a share of loose cannons — but few are in a position to cause real damage. But of those elected politicians who presumably “know better,” it’s invariably the Democrats who make public statements that can only harm our troops, our nation, and ultimately, our national security.

Treason?

johnms Tuesday, February 9th at 11:51PM EST (link)

The administration must be really desperate to be playing the treason card so early.

That’s really what he’s saying. Brennan declares that politically motivated criticism of his department ONLY serves the goals of AQ. Brennan dismisses any other reason for politically motivated criticism of his department other than to advance the goals of our wartime enemies.

At least the administration has put us on notice about their next line of political attack against conservatives. Criticism of our failing counterterrorism efforts is now tantamount, in the eyes of top administration officials, to treason.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen any administration cross this line before. At least in my lifetime.

that they are just like sociopaths in that they lack a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. They are anti-social in that their
behavior is a detriment to society’s health and well being.
They are obviously unaware or the blatant hypocrisy doesn’t bother them one iota.
For this statement, “Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda.”, to come out of a
Democrat Administration just goes to show that these people don’t stand firm anywhere on anything,…..well except abortion right. And their loyalties and supposed beliefs shift and flow like tides…and probably just as often!

paragraph 4.
“…dangerous ambition more often lurks behind the specious mask of zeal for the rights of the people than under the zeal for a firm and efficient government.”

With thousands of rioters screaming for the tv cameras every weekend about how hateful the US and Bush are, how the US is horrible and wants to control the world, and we must end war.I read International Answer got 100,000 rioters out against Bush early in his first term to get things going. Tv cameras loved it, pictures went all over the world. Time and Newsweek put hateful covers out constantly, with things like burning American flags in garbage cans. All the rioting has stopped, and Time and Newsweek mainly have pictures of saints and cherubs on the cover.

I can think of many...

things that this President has done to strengthen our enemies.

Bowing for one, saying that America isn’t a Christian nation… on and on!

Remember Kennedy and Durbin in 2004

realskinny (Diary) Wednesday, February 10th at 12:36PM EST (link)

giving speeches on the Senate floor, saying Iraq was another Viet Nam, the war was lost and couldn’t be won. These speeches were played endlessly in the Middle East, heartening our enemies and recruiting thousands to kill the troops. The vile Durbin still pollutes the air by breathing. This Brennan seems to be similar, incompetent and worse.

Not to mention...

Harry Reid, John Murtha, Hillary Clinton, Jay Rockefeller, Pat “Leaky” Leahy, Howard Dean, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Brennan and all the rest of them can go take a flying leap over a rolling doughnut. If dissent is patriotic for them, it sure as h*** is patriotic for everyone else.
