When you essentially double the labor supply, the price of labor goes down axiomatically. Then you get the same Lefties and Feminazis who told every woman that she was wasting her life as a wife and mother complaining about "living wage" issues.

Both the economic and social costs of universally driving women into the workforce are incalculable.

It's late in the 4th quarter and they are down by 3+ touchdowns. So now we get the 3rd string pulling out all the stops, since the 1st string has failed miserably. First, Michelle with her oversize hose clamp of a belt, then we get <a href="http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/09/vice-president-biden-to-step-up-role-in-white-house-health-care-reform-push-.html">this headline from Jake Tapper</a>. Are they serious?

One day, her daughters will look back on this and say to their mom in her greatest hour of need: "This is what you taught us. Find help somewhere else where you will not be a burden. We have better things to do."

Something about that woman grates on me, a woman. Her trotting out the woman victimhood meme demeans women. Compared to what I see happening to men in this country, (white men in particular), I'd say women are not nearly as bad off as she and the Dems describe. They are only doing this to keep their gender warfare going.

There is no opportunity denied to women in this country. Once education issues were resolved decades ago, women have been able to pursue anything they want to. The statistics prove it. Today, women outnumber men enrolled in college. Women are dominating the medical school enrollment and they are already over 75% of enrollment in Veterinarian schools. This is all easily available information via Google.

It is about choices. I have children, I made that choice, I have the responsibility to care for those children. Of course, the help I received from my husband was a million times appreciated, but to blame society for not doing it all for me is beyond reason.

Michelle, being an elitist from day one, obviously believes that everyone should wait on her. I don't see her giving up one darn thing to make another woman or for that matter, a man's life easier. That's what wrong with having an Aristocracy, they trot out their feel sorry for the masses, and tuck it away until it's time to scam the people again.

From the 1970's forward, middle class white women ate the lunches of all the young black men who expected to better advance in the culture on the heels of the civil rights movement. As they demonstrated from the beginning, the collectivists simply moved the ball to another cup and kept on playing the game. Black men saw the biggest cultural decline they had ever known since the arrival of European slave ships off the coast of Africa.

Tactical mistake for Obama here. The Feminazi's were already on board, but he just put the "Fool me once, shame on you" principle into play with educated black men.

Unbelievable really. Do they really think that EVERYONE will not see this as a blatant attempt to MANIPULATE us? It was pathetic! I'm sure it didn't do her cause one bit of good. The American people deserve a discussion on substance, and she is losing on substance. So quit the cryin' Michelle, it's not going to work.

The first lady wants mothers to sit in emergency rooms for hours and hours and hours? And this is coming from a woman that shun and turned her back to the poor at a hospital in Chicago?

I say, keep eating the kale lady. You should be shamed of yourself. Mothers and the American people don't need the government in their lives. Stay Out!!!!!!!!!!!!

for hours on end waiting for a doctor because 1) there are not enough doctors and 2) the offices are filled with 47 million more people. So what Michelle is really saying is have a great day ladies because it is going to take you all day now for your child to be seen!

is this notion that making appointments, getting people to them, and worrying about finding the time and money to PAY for it all will somehow be alleviated by a Government run (or controlled) healthcare system.

I haven't seen anything in the legislation that suggests Government is going to make our appointments for us, pick us up at our front door and get us TO them...and bring us back afterwards...let alone pay for all of it and remove us entirely from the process...without our having so much as a BILL in the mail to let us know how much it cost or how much we owe.

This "women are being crushed because it falls on THEM to 'take care' of everyone"is gibberish. First, men do these things too...second, Government is going to make us worry MORE...because of the layers of red tape and bureaucracy and rules and regs...

This is a blatant pander to bring "women's issues" into the mix, hoping to get enough women to sign on to ObamaCare to make it law. And, btw, "women" could do with a better spokesperson for their issues than this woman.

You mean we're not there yet?
This is bird seed for the media and the morons. It appeals to those who see their nebbish selves as battlers for justice.
What has the government turning our health care system into one giant Clunker program got to do with women specifically and how does it address the non-issues that Michelle stupidly brings up?

Do something about your weight problem and learn how to dress like a First Lady instead of a fish monger Michelle. That's how you can help the nation.

but having a relative that needs LTC or any type of 24/7 isn't a walk in the park. Even with tons of money it's difficult to even buy good care. Try to find dependable trustworthy competent in home care givers can be impossible and getting a bed in the few good nursing homes can be impossible. Not everyone has the health or strenght to do it themselves. So as someone who is a liberal and thinks it's the governmen's job I can at least appreciate she is recognized the struggle. And also in this country with medicare paying for dr visits and medicaid covering some LTC it isn't like that weird of an idea that the gov pays for it.
Her status quo statement being unacceptable seems to be in reference to being unable to get care that they need. I can agree with the holding back part that 100% as someone in the same position. Untreated health problems do you back when you miss work, are less productive and things like that. Again I don't agree with her conclusion that it's up to the government or that it's unacceptable like they needs to be action forced on taxpayers but I think the whole article better explains where she is coming from. Getting good care even wtih great insurance can be very difficult too. I sure don't like her using people's struggles as an example to push what they are doing either.

This is true with a lot of liberal things, the problem they are talking about is real but they don't see the root cause and /or have some crazed solution. We need to reubttal it with a conservative solution when they do present a real problem.

There are lot of dangerous type of anti-family types of people than her, I wouldn't even consider her one of them. She seems the average well off woman that has never missed a dr's appointment but is at least trying to understand what the some go through without access to care for chronic conditions. I think she is being honest and really does feel bad for those women she met. Of course she is wrong for pushing socialized medicine too but she brings up real problems.

Yes the PUMAs were hugely overestimated but I bet there are a few of them now. While the left alternates between downplaying and blasting the tea party movement (for not being racially 'diverse' as proof of racism), the tea parties have one thing most other protest movements never had: intellectual diversity. Conservatives, libertarians and yes, moderate Democrats all participated.

If the PUMAs weren't in large numbers in 2008 something tells me the might be a factor in 2010, 2012. Thanks Obama!
