It’s amazing to me that some of my fellow Republicans want to declare a rout even before the first ballot is cast. IMHO, this is the most critical election in my lifetime and Barak Obama has an overwhelming advantage this election cycle. This type of political “High Five” my make us feel better, but we are way behind and need to keep our ‘eye on the ball” in order to fight tooth and nail for every vote, because we’re going to NEED them.

Guys, as true as this is, we need to keep our eyes on the ball – what issues will make voters turn against Biden? We ought to make people aware of these failures, but we also need to keep in mind that many will regard these as ancient foibles. Harping too much on them will be counterproductive.

at Saddle back. The true Obama mentality was beamed into every living room who watches Fox and wanted to see the experiment of the interview debate. I loved it. I am now voting for McCain instead of against Obama. And I have the T-shirt to prove it!

There are no perfect men or candidates and we have stop thinking there is. All of them have their faults.

Thanks Haystack for this reminder of what we all have wrestled with. We know what we must do.

How much influence on the Biden choice was:

1) Economic justice (It’s Not Fair!!!)

2) the Hillary problem

3) Obama’s infanticide problem

4) Some of the more viable choices ran away from it. (you’d have to run away from it if you had any sense, right?)

If any help is forthcoming from Biden, it will take time in stump speeches, interviews and the debate. From the talk shows, it appears the leftists are making a huge deal of class struggle– Biden’s Scranton and economic origins. This carries through with their hammering McCain on his wife’s wealth.

No doubt an initial influence was Obama’s commander in chief problem and the inexperienced problem. My thought is that Biden will help with neither of these, but then again we’re talking about Democrats here.

I expect McCain to stay focused like a laser beam on Obama. Biden can be flicked off by ANY VP McCain chooses.

Obama needed a potential gaffe machine like Biden at his side. One, to take away the gaffes he makes. Two, he also needed a fighter like Biden to take the hits for him.

But this is surely the better option out there now as with the whole JMac 10 or so houses debacle. Because once he nominates Romney, it will be a “Silver Spoon Ticket”. Biden will crush Romeny on anything but the economy. Good luck Rich Mitt…

Progression and compromise are not your enemy. Even JMac believes in reaching across partylines. It has nothing to do with principles at all. Its doing whats prudent for the country at the moment. Not limmited government like your messiah regan said.

“Limited government” does NOT mean “stay out of everything” which is a phony definition of conservatism: “limited” means precisely that. There will be some interference by Law in what you are allowed to do.

The problem is not what a pregnant woman does with her body: it is what she does TO her child! There are again limits on what you may do to your boody: if you are chopping off your hands piece by piece, government will quite rightly interfere and stop you.

As marriage and the family are the basis for order in any human society, again government has a right to define that.

I’ve heard this was a predominantly conservative site. As a moderate who subscribes to no ONE way of thinking I like to visit both sides of the line.
