Several missle strikes have been loosely attributed to US forces since President Obama took office:
On January 23, CBS reports 18 “people” were killed in 2 strikes “at least 5 of which were foreign militants”,

On January 29th, AFP reports 12 “suspected militants” were killed, and

On February 14, AP reports 17 “militants” were killed.

During the Bush administration, whenever one of these “missle strikes” was attributed to US forces, the article either led with a civilian death count, or got to it quickly. It is clear to me that our missle strikes are remarkably more accurate now. That is encouraging.

Snarkiness aside, it seems when you read these that they say the area was immediately cordoned off by a bunch of bad guys. Assuming that’s true, we don’t know if that’s to try to find other bad guys who may have survived, remove bodies of bad guys, remove any sort of evidence (files, etc.), plant bodies of women and children before they allow the cameras in, whatever. But I always wondered that if it brings a swarm of bad guys out why we don’t do followups. Hit the same area 30-60 mins later. It’s not like Red Crescent or the UN or Human Rights Watch or whoever is going to talk any worse about us than they already do, so why not take out a bunch more each time?
Now you're thinking like a terrorist
