Flying Flu!!! The Sky is Falling!

Is this the next big global flu epidemic that public health experts have long anticipated and worried about? Is this the novel virus that will kill millions around the world, as pandemics did in 1918, 1957 and 1968?

__AP, Sunday, April 26

So … the US has twenty cases, all of which have recovered (and the number will go up, with observation); only ONE required hospitalization. Out of 200+ million! And TWO treatments are effective against the virus, not to mention normal human resilience.

Quarantine has been mentioned, and that is not a bad thing … too bad that it was politically incorrect to impose such on AIDS victims … we could have saved a half million lives or so.

It is tragic that Mexico’s national health care system couldn’t save 103 lives (at last count), but nobody is commenting on the health or wealth of the victims, prior to the outbreak.

I watched the half-hour+ broadcast from the White House … I suppose it is purely coincidental that it moved interrogations and financial crises from the headlines for a while … not to mention blow-ups in Iraq, and events in North Korea.

Pigs can fly, and anything that distracts The Public from real news is probably political.

One minor exception now.......

Tons of ‘Chicken Little’s’ are out there and many of them are in power, literally (and sadly) controling many nations and millions of sheep people.

Don't be completely dismissive. It's something to wash your hands over.

The flu always has potential to kill millions more than it does every year. That it moved from swine to Mexicans to other Mexicans to other non-Mexicans as quickly as it did is cause for great attention, perhaps alarm. The government should have closed the Mexico border, but didn’t. Government action or inaction can be made irrelevant by being a responsible human being, protecting yourself and your loved ones by washing your hands, attending symptoms immediately, and chaning you behavior to prevent spreading of the flu if you get it. This is something that should be done at all times, anyway. Just be extra cautious this time.

By the way, it’s only one CLASS of compounds (Tamiflu and Relenza both neuramidase inhibitors), that work. Another class, adamantinase inhibitors don’t work, so says the pro section in the CDC website. But it might be the useful one next time. You never know.

Criterion Chemical was in the black for FY2010!
Not bad considering the forces arrayed against small business these days.
Let’s see about actually making some serious profit this year. Shameless capitalism, by:

and take advantage of the situation, get out there and make sure everyone knows it. Help people understand that Obama is using another crisis to secure his agenda.

Don’t ignore the potential of the disease, Nature’s or the Democrats’.
