Me Too: Greitens Was At One Time Suckling From The Soros Teat

The sitting governor of the State of Missouri Eric Greitens was indicted Thursday on charges of privacy invasion stemming from allegations of blackmail involving his former mistress. Even for Jefferson City, that is some scandalous shit happening in that opening sentence. He took an unflattering mugshot and was released on his own recognizance.

The Missouri Republican Party Executive Director Sam Cooper, tore his ACL running to circle the Grand Old Party wagons only to stumble and step on a rake when he said “[St. Louis County Prosecutor] Kim Gardner has received more than $200,000 from George Soros groups, Missourians should see this for what it is, a political hit job.” Indeed, Missourians should be aware of which side of the political aisle has taken money from the international currency trading billionaire, George Soros. The answer is both because even though Greitens came from the Democratic Party the Republicans happily embraced him on a wave of populism and now own his baggage as well.

Both sides in Missouri are now complicit in accepting dirty, filthy, blood-soaked Soros money. Missouri is now owned by George Soros and will be traded as international currency at a later date. Operation Hash Tag: Monetize The Mississippi will be launched any day now. But seriously, it isn’t hard to imagine a political candidate being cozy with creepy cash-stacked Silicon Valley Tech Bros accused of some sexually twisted allegations. Allegations so strong they were worth paying millions to keep out of the media.

The Missouri Times reported that Gov. Greitens sat on the committee for a charity that took millions from Soros. Robin Hood is a New York City based charity established to combat poverty. The group has a noble cause, but the group also had Harvey Weinstein on the board which is something that has complicated the culture war Hash Tag: Me Too era. Having such proximity to two powerful people credibly accused of some very bizarre, twisted and illegal  sexual habits should have us all asking how the culture has gotten to the morbid point that these people are placed in seats of power.

Greitens can make all the videos of him blowing things up and issue all the “ISIS hunting” licenses that he wants but if someone publicly cheats on their wife they will lose the rural Christian vote in Missouri and that is what Greitens and the Missouri GOP are facing. It doesn’t matter that Gardner is a “liberal activist prosecutor”, which she is by the way, Greitens made it easy for her by making really stupid decisions like cheating on his wife and taking a picture of the tawdry affair. The whole thing hinges on proving the woman wasn’t aware her picture was taken without her permission. The misdemeanor is taking the photo, the felony is sending it.

How this missed all opposition research in 2016 is kind of a head-scratcher but apparently the woman who is not Greitens’ wife didn’t want to talk to the media or investigators which is understandable in this  media climate. Her credibility and versions of events are going to be dissected and shredded apart by everyone. It is not a position any sane person would envy.

Now that calls for the governor to resign have come from both sides all eyes turn to the impeachment process and Missouri Speaker of House Todd Richardson where the unusual impeachment process in the Show-Me State begins. In a statement Richardson said, “We will carefully review the facts contained in the indictment and answer the question as to whether or not the governor can lead our state while a felony case moves forward.” Richardson seems more prepared to face the reality than Cooper.
