Obama threatens to allow lynchings of bank CEOs [updated]

I guess Barack took Rev. Wright seriously about US-KKK-A and all the world’s problems being caused by rich white people?

During a White House meeting last week between President Obama and CEOs of the nation’s top banks:

Obama, for his part, told the bankers: “My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

“For his part” is a “foghorn leghorn” attempt by the Drive-by reporter to conceal the fact that the most powerful man on Earth is a Chicago thug.

You will notice that Obama’s vile lynching threat was directed at the bankers. Earlier in the story, the unnamed dead-tree writer of the Charlotte Observer’s “Insider: The Charlotte Business Scoop”, recounted that the Queen City’s own Ken Lewis, CEO of Bank of America, obviously joking, told the President:

“Mr. President, I am not going to suck up to Larry and Tim like the rest of these guys,” referring to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Larry Summers, the head of the National Economic Council.

The anonymous reporter referred to all this as “plain talk” in the column headline, in an obvious attempt to equate the two statements for obviously, if President Obama had replied to Lewis’ statement immediately with the “pitchforks” comment, the reporter would have said so.

No, Lewis’ statement was not plain talk. It was obviously a joke meant to lighten the atmosphere given that the Administration was probably behind recent false rumors that Lewis was about to resign from BofA.

But Obama’s statement was oh so very plain. Plain for a mobster.

[UPDATE] More details confirm Obama’s not so veiled threat to stop standing between the Pitchforks and the Bank CEOs:

“These are complicated companies,” one CEO said. Offered another: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”

But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation, and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

This from a man that called out the pitchforks against AIG employees receiving bonuses that he ensured via the stimulus bill. This from a man that is aware of the death threats made against those AIG employees.

No one can say they weren’t warned of Obama’s chosen pals: indicted felon Tony “Obama house money from friend of Saddam Hussein” Rezko, terrorist Bill “should have bombed America more” Ayers and Jeremiah “G-D America” Wright.

We even parodied Obama’s future presidency after a planet discovered by the USS Enterprise on Star Trek which had discovered a book on the Chicago gangs and organized its whole society around it.

Fact imitates fiction. It has become impossible to parody Democrats anymore.

But this satire ain’t funny. It’s chilling.

Da’ Boss can remove his administration from between the Bank CEOs and the pitchfork-wielding mobs at any thime if you don’t accept his “Piece of the Action.”

Can anyone direct me to a fort to fire upon, or will the Union’s Commander in Chief fire the first shot this time?

Or has it already been fired?

Sound outrageous? I’ll tell you who is outrageous. Barack Hussein Obama, whether its threatening to allow the lynching of bank CEOs or denying medical care to babies outside the womb that survive abortions.

It was nice of the bankers not to point out that it was BarryO and his gang who incited the people to pick up their pitchforks, or the pitchforks might have become a new pair of cement shoes instead.

Obama wrapped up his remarks and threw the conversation open to the table, saying “So, who’d like to talk?” …

Is this not the ultimate in chutzpah?

Who whipped up the mob, but Mr. Obama?

Who forced these companies into giving these bad loans to people who should have never been given loans in the first place, but Mr. Obama and his fellow Democrats?

And now he is using them (ACORN and his other legions) as a threat?

This is not the America we knew.

It was embezzled long before the banks or anybody else but the government got their hands on it. Once gone, we’re never going to get it back. Not one penny of it will make the slightest difference to your life from here on out, no matter what rhetoric they use, such as calling it the taxpayers’ money. It was ours until the government confiscated it. All you’ll get for that is having to work harder to pay off the next load.

My credit is a mess and I didn’t even have that much of it to begin with. My husband had to start a new career at the age of 50. The old one went bust in a big way because of the housing bubble and other factors. You can spend all your time on finding people and things to blame but it’s not going to solve one problem.

People go bust for a number of reasons all the time. It just so happened this time was systemic, rather than isolated to a few sectors of the economy. You pick up and start over again. That’s just the way life is.

I have a server full of people who can’t pay for the space. They’re hit hard, too. I worked all week on one’s database because it was throwing errors left and right. That’s not in my job description to fix customers’ databases for them unless it’s a problem with the server itself but I did it and didn’t charge her one penny for it because her business is suffering, too, even with a properly functioning database.

That’s what people do but if the government keeps sucking the means out of us to do these things for ourselves and each other, nothing will get fixed. It takes the government a hundred times the resources it takes one person to help out another person.

I know some will probably say the hundred times is an exaggeration but I don’t know that it is.

No. The Federal Government has strictly enumerated powers

AKSteveB (Diary) Saturday, April 4th at 1:34AM EST (link)

with all other rights reserved to the states (at least according to the pretty much dead letter 10th Amendment). “We, as a country” have no right to spend for anything other than those enumerated functions, and of course limited spending = limited taxation. Remember, it required a constitutional amendment to allow a Federal Income Tax.

Hell is other people – Sartre

So how do we go about abolishing the income tax?

Alitheia, this may end up as a dissertation

itrytobenice (Diary) Saturday, April 4th at 1:06PM EST (link)

In spite of the fact that I’m going to try to keep it short.

First, a little history: AIGFP was operated by Hank Greenburg profitably and safely for 20 years when Eliot Spitzer (D-Harlottown) threatened to indict the entire firm unless their CEO and majority owner was removed from power. Of course, there was never any indictment of either Mr. Greenburg or the firm because they had never broken any laws. Eliot just needed a little headline time to be able to ice his governor’s race.

Then, AIGFP began engaging in unsafe practices under poor leadership, at least partly because the man with the most skin in the game couldn’t manage his own risk. Once AIGFP’s bets all went bad, our gov’t paid off all their contracts, including to foreign banks and US financial services firms.

The other parties to contracts were not even required to take a haircut. They were paid at par, even though these firms were highly sophisticated investors and knew they had assumed some risk by their ownership of these derivatives. They had failed to do due diligence on their inter-party transactions and lost, but the taxpayers stepped in and made them whole, even though taxpayers were taking it on the chin with their own investments.

The parties responsible for the losses at AIGFP were fired or resigned with the meltdown. Of the employees of AIGFP at the time of the bonus payments, only a handful had even been in the division at the time of the risky investment decisions.

Other employees were brought in from other divisions, which have been and still are highly profitable businesses, to help wind down the contracts and the FP division.

One of them profiled on the news was a highly paid attorney who understood complex contract law and these financial contracts. He was persuaded to help with the dissolution of the enterprise with the understanding that he would work for $1 per year and as long as he stayed for the entire year, he would receive an annual payment that was at least equal to his previous salary.

Those were the bonuses that BO and the media have ginned up such outrage over. They know these details, but it helps to distract the American people from the other nightmare scenario decisions they are making if they can keep everyone excited over these payments which are really nothing other than annual salary payments, and not paid to the people who caused the trouble in the first place, but paid to those who were hired to clean up their messes.

It is evil. Our president is evil and so are the other people who are stirring up this class warfare argument. They are only doing it so they can manipulate the public into believing that capitalism is bad.

Proper grammar saves lives.

You will make excuses for him, try to put the things he does and says in a better light and more, until one day, you’ll simply realize that none of it is the way you hoped it would be and, finally, walk away.

When you’ve invested that much into a relationship whether it’s a loved one, a friend, or your government, there is nothing anyone can say that will break the hold of that relationship. It comes from inside.

All we can do is be here when it breaks.
