Looking at Docs comment… Gen Petraeus far exceeds for MOTY award in my book.

(It sounds bad, but in practice realize that the SEC vs the investment banks in a profitable enviroment is like the freshmen team versus the varsity)

Democratic responsibility for avoidable decisions/policies:

- Allow Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to operate as the two largest hedge funds out there.
-For years, warnings had been issued as to the systematic risks posed by Fannie/Freddie (including by Larry Summers during the Clinton years).
-Yet following Accounting Fraud, in which the two had cooked the books to the tune of billions of dollars, Democrats block Republican attempts to reign in the leverage of the Fannie & Freddie hedge funds.
-And when it comes to securitizing subprime mortgages, these two Democrat-favored institutions issued a full third of the subprime market.
-And how Fannie/Freddie could call themselves advocates of “affordable housing” while they were championing a price bubble by adding “buy at any cost” subprime borrowers to the demand side is beyond me.

Yes, McCain’s campaign advisor had accepted fees from Fannie/Freddie.
But true to McCain’s character, he put his own interest of avoiding that explanation above the principles of conservatism.

And thus, we have a public that actually believes the Democrats would have done something different, in spite of their identical actions in their sphere of influence.

Heck, my mom is one of them.

It’s more that I’d wish that they’d see that if adolescence is perpetual, they will never, ever get the adults they need to keep going indefinitely.

If you keep treating adults as adolescents, you will get adolescent adults.
