The indigenous people in America were in this respect of the same mindset as the lefties have been for the past 40 years. There was not a class of businessmen and traders comparable to Marco Polo in America to strive to sell and buy goods in far distant lands.</p> <p>Columbus and other sea captains from Europe were looking for a new way to get to the silk and tea in China when they first sailed.
