Oh my...
Eric Olsen (Diary) Sunday, March 21st at 8:02PM EST (link)While I greatly admire your ability to hurl insults with just the necessary soupcon of sugar and charm, your broad generalizations seem to indicate a delusion of grandeur and intellectual superiority inherent in most self-identifying liberals. Whether or not you will admit to being such a person is irrelevant – your argument speaks volumes to that effect.
I’m not particularly interested in addressing your post point-by-point, primarily because if I wished to do, I’d frequent DailyKos.
Rather, I’d ask that before you start referring to 46% of this country as “wingnuts” or “fringe,” you have the common courtesy to provide evidence.
“I need no warrant for being, and no word of sanction upon my being. I am the warrant and the sanction.” – Ayn Rand, Anthem
Wingnuts
[Fire Pelosi.] (Diary) Monday, March 22nd at 4:45PM EST (link)Thank you. I was going for soupcon of sugar and charm. However, I don’t think I was hurling insults. I was more, I think, raising them to allow them to spread and waft in the breeze.
As far as the wingnuttery, I was not referring to 46% of the population. Read what I said. “However, the people who are frantic right now are the hard right and hard ignorant, who believe that this legislation is form of single payer with death panels. Those people will vote for the most fringe right wing nut running. You are going to have a lot of fringe right wing nuts getting into the general election.”
In other words, many of the people you are going to nominate as Republican standard bearers in the cause of eliminating RINO’s are and will be right wing fringe, or wingnuts. Yay purity tests!
Have you read the bill?
usadying (Diary) Sunday, March 21st at 9:29PM EST (link)Are you employed? Do you own a business? Do you currently have health insurance? Do you have the ability to look at the future beyond the next 10 minutes?

Christine (Diary) Monday, March 22nd at 4:57PM EST (link)I guess you all are out of practice….finally won one so you’re brave enough to start posting diaries again rather than just comments.
I love the typical liberal “hi, I’ve finally arrived, I know you’ve been waiting for my brilliance to bring meaning to your woeful existence” post. This one’s okay, but it falls short, honestly.
I really love the ones that start off as if we are college freshman on the first day of the first semester. You know, that “here’s what I’m going to do to help you, here’s what I expect of you, okay here we go” at the top that really shows off the amazing hypocrisy, stupidity and arrogance of the liberal mindset. Makes the subsequent BLAMs so much more rewarding to read….
I’ll give this a C-. I’d suggest a rewrite, but you’re not likely to be around long enough to submit it.
The primary process is FLAWED. Two states should not decide our candidate.
“I would be a poor Commander in Chief”

It's too bad, really
aesthete (Diary) Tuesday, March 23rd at 3:49PM EST (link)Now, we’ll never know if, with time and dedication, he might have been able to reach Paul Krugman’s level of condescending prose.
