…and apparently plan to, or have already, set aside a total of 10 such Tea Party gatherings, five this year, five next, culminating with an event approaching Decision 2010. That’s what they announced toward the end of the Tax Day Tea Party, anyway. Maybe that’s overdoing it. I’ll try to be there for every last one.

“Flit from cause to cause…” I love that phrase! It describes what they do to a “T”!

If I may add to my above comment, even if a tea party isn’t put together in your community for the 4th then go ahead and wear those t-shirts and caps to your local parade, fireworks show, cookout or whatever event your area does put on. That way even more people can be reached. Oh, and wear those shirts and caps before and after the 4th, too. Take your signs and banners to events that has your local politicians speaking, or at least a shirt or cap. No, don’t try to rush the stage or shout him or her down, we conservatives are supposed to have class! Leave that juvenile behavior to Code Pink.

I like that word. Have you ever noticed how libs tend to protest and obstruct until they get a law in place and then you never hear a peep out of them, except for the ringleaders who would otherwise be out of job?

They flit from cause to cause and don’t even think about it logically… it’s just the next trendy movement.

Look how hard they worked to get TheOne elected and when all the big names tried to whip up some opposition to the tea parties, they couldn’t whip up much of anything except a few mostly half-hearted attempts. The young are already bored with their Messiah.

Fox beat the rest of the news networks almost 3 to 1 in viewers…our msg is getting out. So that would be one good thing…also it provides an opportunity for people to meet more like minded people in their vicinity which is also a good thing.

and redneck_hippie. Of course the MSM is going to ignore a one day event,and some politicians will likely ignore a one day event too. That brings the point of Fred’s diary and above comment home even more. That’s why we need more of these. Like Fred said:

“The point is to put Washington on notice: We’re fed up, and we’re not going to put up with any more irresponsibility inside the Beltway. Not listening is a huge risk, both from them and the MSM.”

He also says in his original diary above “We cannot stop now.” I agree 200%. We have to show them we have resolve, that we care about our taxes and national debt going sky high with no top seen yet. The best way to do that is keep it up.

If the libs can keep their anti-war protests up, surely we can do this. The tea parties were nationwide on the 15th. They may or may not be nationwide hereafter but they, and those letters to Capitol Hill, need to be kept up so that they have no choice but to listen. The left is counting on complacency to set in now.

Let’s prove them wrong.

…the original Boston Tea Party? It didn’t reverse the Tea Act (that came later). It didn’t stop the British Parliament from intruding into American lives.

What it did was galvanize those who believed in freedom and individual liberty. It notified the British that, “We will not be ignored.” Their reaction eventually led to the First American War for Independence (often incorrectly referred to as the American Revolution or Revolutionary War–but that’s another diary).

Because we are going to make this happen in spite of all the forces ranged against us. We are the responsible party, not the pols/government/media whatever.

It is quite simply the biggest one-day shot in the arm for the movement that I can imagine.
