More Layoffs at Newsweek

This seems as good a time as any to pass on what may, or may not be, new information from my inside source.

Newsweek’s new show runner, the one with the bright idea to reformat and cut staff, had a five-year plan and a cash bank to keep things going until the new failed format “took off.”

Well, it’s not working. They just laid off twenty percent of their remaining management staff. They’re also nearly out of money. More layoffs are expected soon.

Apparently, the ad revenue isn’t there and rackjobbers are canceling left and right.

Be specific: Bush's fault, Obama's fault, .... or Palin's fault?

Newsweek’s and MSM analyses have become too shallow in reporting job losses, don’t you think?

For deeper assessment, Job layoffs should be presented as follows:

>> Cluster 1: % of forced resignation/retrenchment (Non-Alaskan and Non-conservative)?
>> Cluster 2: % resignation due to personal reasons or own volition (Non-Alaskan and Non-Conservative)?
>> Cluster 3: % layoffs in Alaska excluding Non-Conservatives.
>> Cluster 4: % layoffs of conservative workers excluding Alaskans.

Cluster 1 is definitely Bush’s fault (only inherited by Obama.)
Cluster 2, 3 & 4 are contributed by Palin.

Using MSM’s liberal math: Palin has caused 75% (3 out of 4) of the layoffs in the country because of her conservative values and her recent resignation with farewell picnic.

Palin must be crucified for causing the mass layoff.

Slight correction

Bush and Palin would have led to 100% layoffs. Whatever jobs are left there count as ones “saved” by Obama.

Until they change their format of hate anything conservative...

these little small layoff’s will not stop the hemorrhaging not for Newsweek, NY Times etc., ect. They are another mouthpiece for liberalism.

Magazines are so 20th century

Newsweek & other magazines that live & die by ad revenue will be gone in the rush of 21st century technology. They may exist in some electronic form as a footnote to their once lofty positions held in the filed of journalism. Journalism is dead and so are the need for magazines such as Newsweek.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Nothing warms my heart like another story of journalists going unemployed. What a plague on the nation they have been. Hopefully they will do less damage in their new role as Wal*Mart greeters.

Hah! What makes you think Walmart will hire them.

I can see them at the door, microphone in hand. “Welcome to Walmart. Why are you buying sweatshop junk sold by non-union employees?
