Please Don’t Fall For It, SGT. Crowley

After a week where Obama (sorry I can’t ever bare to put the word President with that name) made an idiot of himself, and exposed his radical, racist self, now he’s trying to undo the damage.  Obama has invited the Sgt. and the black racist professor for a beer.  The black racist professor reportedly has apologized to Obama for derailing his health care spiel, and has agreed to make nice.  I say Sgt. Crowley, they are trying to use you to achieve their political aims. They are still both anti-white racists, and you having a beer with them will not change that. Obama didn’t even apologize for saying you acted “stupidly” Sgt. He said he regretted that his comments added to the anger and media attention. He should have “calibrated” his words more carefully. Translation; I got caught being a racist, and it messed me up by taking the attention off of my health care scam.  If you go to meet them,  everyone will come out smiling, and everything will be forgiven, but in private Obama and Gates will talk about what a stupid cracker you are, and Obama will thank Gates for playing along with him.  Don’t do it!

Crowley needs to stay the heck away

bk (Diary) Sunday, July 26th at 1:25PM EST (link)

Gates says that he’ll go – with one aim in mind.

“I am pleased that he (Obama), too, is eager to use my experience as a teaching moment, and if meeting Sgt. Crowley for a beer with the President will further that end, then I would be happy to oblige.”

If Crowley goes, he’s going to get lectured by Gates about what a racist he is. Fuggedabouddit.

If the incident had not risen to a national lead story incident

Gates would have gotten away with it.

The teaching moment for America was watching ∅ pass judgment without knowing the facts. Do we want to put such arrogance in charge of health care?

Crowley, ∅ threw you the policeman under the bus for the sake of scoring some race card points.

A citizen showers a cop doing their job with f-bombs. With the authority to arrest under the Disturbing the Peace law, the policeman does so. I’m guessing as is typical for such cases, once the tax-paying citizen has been booked, charges are dropped, the f-bombs are forgotten, the citizen goes back to work, hopefully learning a lesson about the consequences of not acting in a civil manner with law enforcement.

Crowley will be ensuring that other police officers will be thrown under the bus in the future if he goes.

I feel the same way...

Crowley should respectfully decline. Zero and Gates will only use this photo op to show the world how they have educated Crowley about the evils of racism.

I think Zero is more of an equal opportunity bus steamroller

than an “anti-white” racist.

Will ∅ play the race card if it helps (firstly) himself or (secondly) his socialist agenda? Of course.

Crowley will be the loser whether he goes or not

If he doesn’t, they’ll say it proves he’s a racist. If he does, he will be made to look apologetic or unrepentent. Gates will be made to look like a victim.

I guess I would let it be known that both Obama and Gates need to apologize to all the other police out there, as well as the Cambridge Police department specifically, before the meeting. There would be no meeting, and Crowley would be seen as standing up for his department. I would never let a politician use me, especially a Socialist, racist one.

The President should be asked how he though Crowley acted "stupidly"

6eorge Jetson (Diary) Sunday, July 26th at 3:31PM EST (link)

I doubt that Crowley will ask that, it sounds as if he’s a Dem from his “110 percent” support of ∅.

Another question to ask is if it is now legal to berate a police officer and shower them with f-bombs provided you are otherwise innocent.

uhm....

dave_in_atl (Diary) Sunday, July 26th at 4:05PM EST (link)

yes it is legal to berate a police officer… its called the first amendment.

Not polite, but perfectly legal.

Only Up To a Point, It Is...

IJB Sunday, July 26th at 4:15PM EST (link)

You’ll get some leeway on berating an officer, but if you keep at it, you’ll either get a Disorder Conduct or a Resisting Arrest cite.

In general, it’s a dumb thing to do, and if pushed far enough it crosses over into being illegal too.

no...

dave_in_atl (Diary) Sunday, July 26th at 4:32PM EST (link)

Well first of all it depends on the states definition of disorderly conduct… Some states what you say is true, while others it is not, and a much higher level of “disorder” is required.

And the resisting arrest thing has nothing to do with anything here.. You can only get charged with resisting arrest if you are being arrested. Has nothing to do with verbal abuse.

I will say this though the fact that you can be arrested for saying non threats to a police officer is a sad thing. If they don’t like the abuse they need to find another job. Free speech is free speech. And the fact that you can be arrested on your own property for disorderly conduct when all you have been doing is speaking your mind is deranged.

quick followup....

Marcus J. Suhn yelled a stream of profanities beginning with “F*****g cop” on the sidewalk at 2 a.m. after the bars closed on Sept. 2, 2007, as two police officers were riding down the street in their patrol car. One officer heard Suhn, got out of his patrol car, arrested him and charged him with disorderly conduct.

According to Meierhenry, Suhn’s profanity about the police did not “tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace,” as the other people standing on Main Street did not react with any type of violence.

So in this court case it was decided that to be arrested for disorderly conduct one would have to “incite an immediate breach of the peace”. This guy was in public, at 2am, yelling profanity at a cop…. yet the courts decided it was protected speech…… as they should

What happened to the arresting officers in that case?

6eorge Jetson (Diary) Saturday, August 8th at 2:49AM EST (link)

I would expect that in many cases like this, an arrest is made based on the “judgment” of the officer that an “immediate breach of the peace” is “possible” (get in the car punk) but once the “suspect” has been inconvenienced, the court finds that in it’s judgment that there was no likelihood of an “immediate breach of the peace”.

Common sense take away. Don’t give the policeman the degrees of freedom to do put you through the inconvenience.

I say he should go and ask Obama for a direct unconditional apology and a lesson on due process.

Common_Cents (Diary) Sunday, July 26th at 3:31PM EST (link)

And then ask Obama to give America a lesson on due process on how nobody should be accused and convicted until AFTER receiving all the facts.

Absolutely.
Obama wants to bring Crowley there to use him as a political prop.
‘ Look at me. The great healer of race. ‘
Gates is going there to be rewarded for being an absolute racist.
‘I’ m going to hang with my good friend Obama because that white honky cop arrested me for being black.’

It’s nothing but a set up for Crowley. Obama doesn’t want to have a beer with him. He just thinks that somehow that is how you communicate with people of his culture.
‘How’s your beer Sgt.? Would you like some ice cubes with that ?”
