I will say this once and only once here and will also put pen to paper in ‘hard copy’ to your offices…………
House and Senate members:
This must be asked……. Do the following words sound familiar ?
“I, (name of Member), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
You have all sworn an oath before God and the citizens of The United States of America to uphold and defend The Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic.
There was a time when you knew EXACTLY what those words meant, but somewhere along the line, this entire idea of what is right and what is wrong has slipped from your grasp and everything has become some sort of a bizarre game.
I’ve some news for you and I am not alone in knowing this to be truth unbridled: Freedom – Liberty – Rights…. ARE NOT TRIVIAL.
Not a single one of you has upheld your end of the deal…… and we’ve had enough. OUR FREEDOM, LIBERTY AND RIGHTS AND OUR NATIONS EXISTENCE ARE NOT A GAME TO BE PLAYED.
However, you’ve one more chance……. one.
There won’t be any more chances after a very short period of time, or our nation is finished and we, as a free people, will be literally enslaved to the whims of Fascism and tyranny, with the distinct probability of an outside religious theocracy imposing it’s will by violence over all else.
As Americans – as human beings – we ALL have God-given RIGHTS to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Either you stand up and fight traitorous tyrannical and unconstitutional acts and rule by fiat committed and planned by the current administration, or we will do it for you, because your lack of action will clearly define your acceptance and complicity in all occurring.
As legislators, you have the power to enjoin actions against the current administration and all those involved for what are becoming countless violations and usurpation of the authority we the people lend you as our representatives for upholding our Rights as a free nation.
This is your only notice. We are watching you. Your inaction will be taken as completely unacceptable on so many levels that all we would be able to muster at a certain point would be to say, “Get out before you are taken out in handcuffs”.

I’ve about had it with folks who seemingly care more about some totally inconsequential television host’s squabble with a sitting State Governor, or what a bunch of political party members (not elected officials) say who are supposedly “on our side”, than they do about the incredible amount of true devastation to our nation’s sovereignty, ability to conduct commerce and empowering our country’s (and the world’s) enemies that has already occurred in the five short months of the current administration’s taking office.

Mr. Solomon, you give notice to Congress of “one more chance” (However, you’ve one more chance……. one.). I’m still unclear what exactly constitutes this last chance. Is it a particular vote that will be the last chance? If so what issue. You post makes mention of a book about the 2nd Amendment. Am I to assume that is the critical issue?
Or is it a series of votes on a range of issues? Perhaps a Supreme Court vote (not necessary the upcoming one)? Some other hearing?
And once this chance passes unfavorably (assuming it does) what are the ramifications for Congress?
I ask because it appears you’ve given this a lot of thought and probably have some specifics.

So far, this has been sent……
…..via e-mail to my Senators (Martinez R-Fl and Nelson D-Fl), along with my House member (Hastings D-Fl-23). I do not trust any of them whatsoever to do the proper thing for our nation.
I understand the reasoning why, but it’s rather disturbing that many Federal Elected Officeholders cannot be contacted via e-mail unless the person lives within their District or State.
So I’m going down the list of names and mailing addresses……. I don’t at all mind printing and mailing hard copies to each individual Congress member….. It’s only money (I’ll earn more) and time I’ll never get back (freedom is running out of time, so my time is inconsequential).
E-mail/electronic copies also sent to Washington Examiner, Washington Times, Washington Post, NY Times (ha !), Fox News, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Cam Edwards (NRA Radio/TV) a few local radio hosts here (Joyce Kaufman, Todd Schnitt and others).

ColdWarrior (Diary) Wednesday, June 17th at 7:42PM EST (link)FYI, last night at my legislative district meeting, one of our National Committee delegates (who shall remain nameless) appeared to talk to us lowly precinct committeemen and take questions. (Scroll down for my back and forth with the delegate this morning by e-mail.) I hammered this delegate on the “lack of leadership and strategy” issue, the NRSC Marco Rubio/Crist flap, and used the H.R. 2346 vote as another example of a lack of leadership based on the five who bolted at the end. Our delegate made the usual excuses. I think this nameless delegate was freaked out when I knew about the defectors (thanks to Redstaters) than the delegate as the delegate was unaware of the final vote tally. This morning I followed up with an e-mail attaching three faxes I had sent to McCain and the other “leaders” about the lack of leadership and lack of strategy among them to fight Teleprompter Boy and the Dems.
I was very disturbed when our delegate said they “thought” the Republican “leaders” would try to stop Cap and Trade, the healthcare hijack, “Card Check” and Sotomayor’s confirmation and told him so in my first question to him. The delegate backtracked and said they never said that and that they were confident all four would be fought strenuously. I told him the delegate I heard what I heard and would not be surprised that the Republicans blow it on all four.
I did get the sense this delegate is pretty conservative and principled. The delegate shared with us plans to introduce a resolution next month to call out Teleprompter Boy on something [don’t want to give the details here] and that the resolution will have some “teeth” in it. We’ll see.
I also told the delegate about RedState and our fundraising efforts for Marco Rubio. This delegate agreed that what Cornyn did was wrong re Rubio/Crist. I made the point that there is no point in having precinct committeemen in FL if the NRSC is just going to hand-pick the primary winner by throwing money to him. The delegate seemed to genuinely agree. But the delegate claimed to have no influence with Cornyn.
What follows is my back and forth with the delegate this morning.

I also attach a copy of my most recent letter I faxed to John McCain (the 2009-06-11 letter) outlining yet another example of the lack of leadership in the Senate – McCain and Judd Gregg and 20 other Republican Senators abandoning the American people and voting for $5.7 B of spending on unconstitutional feel-good “social programs” that will be directed to favored constituencies to buy votes. Our Party loses the high-ground when our members vote for this kind of unconstitutional wasteful spending just like it does when our members engage in earmark spending – that is why we are now in the minority. And now we see Obama fires the Inspector General overseeing the corruption in these programs. McCain earlier wrote to me that he “look[ed] forward to utilizing my seat on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions to ensure that the Senate exercises the appropriate level of oversight into these programs.” So now we have the potential for “Inspector General-gate” (Obama broke the law in firing the Inspector General without cause) and we’ll hear nary a peep from McCain, McConnell and Kyl.
And I’ve attached two other letters I faxed a while back to McCain and some of the other “leaders” regarding the apparent lack of any strategy to inform the American people as to what’s really happening.
And as to the obviously unqualified Sotomayer, I expect to be disappointed by Sessions and Cornyn and Graham and the rest of Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee because they are all afraid Keith Overbite or some other talking air head might call them a bad name.
Our “leaders” need to “man up.” They ought to study the videos of European Union Parliament Member Daniel Hannan chastising PM Gordon Brown, face-to-face, and the videos of Sarah Palin vs. Matt Lauer, and the videos of Lynne, Dick and Liz Cheney smacking down Wolf Blitzer, Nora O’Donnell and others. What do we get instead? Nary a peep about Colin Powell voting for The One instead of McCain and criticisms by Michael Steele directed at Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Pathetic.

P.S. One other thing. Do you realize when one goes to Gop.com, there’s not one thing that jumps out at the visitor that answers this question: Why should you be a Republican rather than a Democrat? Nothing that compares our platform to the Dems. No “Top Ten List of Republican Principles.” No list for how to become a precinct committeeman. We have millions of people in this country right now who want to “do something” and it’s almost as if our Party “leaders” don’t want more people actually in the Party as precinct committeemen voting for new leadership.

Just a word on the supplemental aid vote. It was nasty effort by dems to throw IMF funding into a defense bill that heavily impacted a few of the R’s who voted for it. The one I do not quite understand is McHugh from NY who is a candidate for Army Secy right now but perhaps he was on the hot seat if he didn’t vote for it because Ft Drumm is his district and just felt he could not vote no. I do not know enough about him to be able to judge.

The form of leftism commonly referred to as “moderate conservatism” is a misnomer, and hopefully the in the future it will stop. When the goalpost moves, it is not a fair game. The moderates are nothing more than mislabeled leftist-statists, and “extreme” conservatism may not be that extreme at all.
With that in mind, the idea of a third party was dismissed by Ronaldus Maximus, and for good reason. This is our party. Why form a new party when we owned the bat, ball, and the damned stadium in the first place?
Let us kick the Snowes, Spectres, Collins’, Powells’ and Chris Buckley’s to the barn gutter of politics. Why do we tolerate Statism in the first place?
We are on the right side of history.

Boehner’s page, there is a section with e-mail addresses to contact him if you are in his district and a separate contact address to “Ask The Leader” which is where I sent my mail (and which is why that e-mail address was in the “from”).
I’m sorry to get fairly defensive and picky here, but like many of us in this country, I’m a tad edgy lately. I wonder why.

They must get lots of it and your email to whatever rep is going to have to pass through some tech filters before it gets to a human filter (not the rep – but someone who works for the rep) and that person deals with it. I would bet that you’ve sent fairly strident emails in the past, so your email address might be on a black list. If your address is on a blacklist, you will never reach the inbox.
If you’re blacklisted for threatening email, then likely the message is automatically forwarded to a department that evaluates threats.
Let’s presume your are not blacklisted and this email passes through the tech filters and actually arrives in the inbox of an assistant of your rep. This particular email carries with it an implicit threat, so that assistant probably flags the message as containing a threat and the email is now forwarded to whatever department deals with threatening emails. Subsequent copies of the email will be recognized as duplicates of the original email and marked accordingly. These copies would either be auto-deleted or put in a junk mail type of folder, where they are bulk deleted by someone.
Just my guess as a techie.

If that’s the case, I also have a feeling I’m in good company.
Our group dealing with Florida standing up and “suggesting” to the State Legislature that our 10th Amendment Rights need to be in place and enforced is going strong and gaining support of some local and State candidates for office.
The candidates are almost all ordinary citizens putting their lives on hold to run for office because they simply can’t take the nonsense any more. the few current politicians involved are solid folks – we can do some vetting with the best of ‘em.
We even have one or two of our group members currently doing the paperwork to file for 2010 candidacy (enough petitions have been signed already).
I’m also involved with the part of our group dealing with The 2nd Amendment section of Florida’s Constitution to make sure that at worst, things remain as they are, especially with basic rights and The Castle Doctrine.
I’m calling this the real hope and change.

Do tell if Hank Jr. runs against Alexander. Should be fun. Rumor on the street here in TN is – look for some TEA PARTY labeled candidates to come out and run against Davis, Cooper and Gordon.
I personally want Ed Bryant to take the Corker seat. Ed’s the real deal.
