The Muslim Brotherhood documents that were discovered during the recent Holy Land Foundation case clearly shows that various groups within the US are determined to use our own system to destroy our system, increases instances of “honor killings” on US soil, public monies being spent on footbaths, etc etc etc.

You can laugh at the argument if you want, but look to Europe and see the future.

I liked the part about moral hazard in business, such as protected and entrenched managements. I’d always just thought of that as just “being an inbred weasel”! Who knew?

Take things to the media (at least the ones who will listen), do not give up or take no or maybe for an answer and say loudly and proudly, “this is wrong, this is not America” and state our deeply held reasons why.

I’m not advocating “picking up the rifles” (although I am scared s-less that very soon something is going to happen at one of the multitude of protests happening here and abroad, but that;s a totally different story… or is it ?)

The only way I’d want government involved is if laws are being broken and then I’d want government / prosecution to make da** sure that every single “i” is crossed and ‘t’ is dotted, so there can be absolutely no b.s. from the media and the PC crowd.

Life insurance can create a moral hazard (though more often you would look to your beneficiaries) but a more common example is car rental insurance. Once you’ve purchaed your insurnace for the rental period you may be less careful when say parking in a crowded lot since any damage to your car only costs the rental company. I am unwilling to give the government that kind of power over private industry because it is just a difference in time before that thinking is applied to Kosher food. And, frankly, if they can learn from the models ways to make banking profitable with less inherent risk that can’t be a bad thing.

Can you define moral hazards? Are you saying that if I’m worth more dead than alive, then I’m putting the temptation to kill me in front of my beneficiary?
