SEC. 2. RESTRICTION ON MANUFACTURE, TRANSFER, AND POSSESSION OF CERTAIN SEMIAUTOMATIC ASSAULT WEAPONS.
(a) RESTRICTION- Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding after subsection (u) the following:
(v)(1) It shall be unlawful for a person to manufacture, transfer, or possess a semiautomatic assault weapon.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Heller case helps some here, but Congress will use the excuse of “reasonable” laws that was mentioned by the court. There was some interesting discussion on The High Road (firearms forum) concerning a reading of Heller that might be more pro-gun that normally thought. It probabl won’t be much help, but you never know.
