How I Spent My Summer Vacation (from the Left, that is)

There’s an old gangster rap saying that goes, “Hate the game, not the playa.” Well, after almost 10 years of ingesting some of the most obtuse, myopic, violently self-destructive, willfully ignorant intellectual excrement ever foisted upon the American public, I’ve frankly had it up to my moderately obese hairy tuchus with the 42% of this nation’s citizenry who have proven themselves utterly incapable of understanding that liberty has never been, nor can ever be, maintained through legislation.

Democrats, and the lemmings who love them, are nothing more than petulant, infantile, ethically challenged Coward Poets. They use calculators to solve their problems and invariably fail because they cannot show their work. Further, when these textbook narcissists are called to account for their failures, they predictably attack everyone in sight who dares to suggest that perhaps, success is more often achieved through individual effort, as opposed to reliance upon the work of someone else.

In short, they’re the same kids who pissed and moaned because the straight-A student threw off the curve, itself an egalitarian con job designed to “elevate the whole.”

You’ll have to pardon me, but the virulent ignorance these people so mystifyingly hold as some perverted self-evident truth has morphed into an Orwellian cult, wherein it’s followers not only find themselves perfectly comfortable maintaining two completely opposing positions simultaneously, they gleefully fantasize about the deaths of those who would prefer to not participate in their own demise.

The only thing “progressive” about these cultural terrorists is their sociopathy. Friends of Bill W. claim “spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection.” The “progressive,” on the other hand, claims moral perfection, and seeks to inflict their delusion upon their perceived inferiors through oppression.

The so-called “teachable moment” has become codespeak for “that which we will achieve by any means necessary.” For instance, ask a “progressive” about 9/11, or the wholesale slaughter of an Israeli family in a pizza parlor, and they’ll more than likely tell you those were “teachable moments.”

Suggest to them otherwise, and prepare to be regaled with a most delicious (albeit frightening) display of paranoid schizophrenia, culminating in your condemnation as a warmongering, xenophobic advocate of barbaric American imperialism.

A few years ago, I considered that there really is no argument to be had with hyper-partisan Democrats. This morning, I have finally realized that the proverbial goalposts have moved to such a degree that the adherents of this particular ideology have come to believe so fervently in the ultimate righteousness of their cause, any semblance of morality, legality or common sense simply must be sacrificed in pursuit of it.

Thankfully, this summer, I have an opportunity to spend 12 weeks on the road, touring with a youth organization – a drum and bugle corps – dedicated to the pursuit of excellence through the performance of music and choreography. This organization will travel the country on buses, competing against other “drum corps” (that’s pronounced “cores,” Mr. President) for the title of Drum Corps International’s World Title.

They won’t gloat when they win, nor will they scream like victimized banshees when they lose. They will simply endeavor to perform the best show they possibly can, and take immense satisfaction in having left everything they could on the field of competition. It is about as American a concept as any I have ever been involved in, and I cannot wait to be a part of it again next month when I join them on tour.

I am therefore resolved that until I return home on August 20th, I will give no more thought to the New Castrati as I would a commercial for a personal injury lawyer. These coming months will be my vacation from the left, if you will.

That is, unless they start “occupying” drum corps shows, in which case my vacation will be over, and I will be most perturbed, indeed.

Don’t make me perturbed. You wouldn’t like me when I’m perturbed.

You Can Be Nice, Or You Can Save A Nation…

The following is a post I wrote in response to GayPatriot’s position that trolls should be allowed to continue unabated. Needless to say, I disagreed…

———-

Much has been made behind the scenes here of my approach to certain commenters who have made abundantly clear their disdain for anything resembling dissent. Miss Hillary solidified a career, after all, of screeching about the importance of honoring contrary speech and defining such as patriotism.

Unfortunately, as the left is so inclined to do, their idea of patriotism only extends as far as their egalitarian wet dreams. In other words, “dissent” is defined as that which they agree with (or want to hear), uttered only by people they deem worthy of free speech (Jesus freaks and capitalists need not apply, thank you very much).

So it goes that I took it upon myself last week to resign from my long-time employer in favor of dedicating my talent and skill set toward the inevitable electoral destruction of Barry Soetero (aka Barack Hussein Obama) and the progressive destructive agenda he and his followers remain convinced will eventually work, despite centuries of death, famine and pestilence to the contrary.

However, we here at GayPatriot have never been at a loss for hate mail. Many of you remember well the words of trolls past, some of whom have darkened our cyber-doors for years before finally surrendering to the more inherently vile aspects of their worldview. To be sure, at least one of these poor souls continues to comment here, even though his words have long since been consigned to a folder none of us ever sees, save for our daily disposal of trash.

Long story short: Daniel and I have long disagreed as to the approach we should take with regard to our resident lefties. While we both acknowledge that Democrats are inherently disingenuous and hypocritical, Daniel insists that allowing them to play by a set of rules they are congenitally incapable of adhering to somehow validates our own principles.

I, on the other hand, subscribe to the Andrew Brietbart School of Thought, in that allowing your enemy to tap his spleen of ignorance and intellectual dishonesty can only result in his insistence that somehow, he has a right to do so, regardless of the fact that the microphone he screeches into belongs to you.

My point here is simple…while Dan and Bruce own this site, and have been nothing short of completely supportive of my decision to dedicate my skills and talent to Newt Gingrich, I’m going to forego posting here until after such time as Barack Obama (aka the Mocha Messiah, SCOAMF) is escorted onto Marine One in January, 2013. The closer we get to next November, the more vociferous and ridiculous the left is going to become as they struggle to come to terms with the inevitability of their defeat, and as long as the owners of this site continue to believe that paying for the privilege of allowing the unhinged to delude themselves into believing their fantasies are falling upon willing ears, I’ll gladly occupy my time with receiving the millions of dollars needed to ensure Newt stomps Obama like a narc at a biker rally.

Because that, my friends, is going to be friggin priceless…

See ya in 2013.

Putting My Career (And Other People’s Money*) Where My Mouth Is…

I remember attending the wedding of a family friend in October of 2001.

It was just over a month since the attack on the WTC, and we were in a hotel room in Florida. The TV was tuned to CNN, and as the GWOT was launched, CNN showed footage of some college students in a Student Union, all of whom groaned, cried, and bitched as the first strikes against those who had murdered 3,000 American innocents were launched.

They vocally and vehemently lamented the potential loss of life in Afghanistan, yet seemed oddly silent as to the putrifying remains of the bus boy buried beneath 100+ stories of former American exceptionalism.

One week after the wedding, I published my very first blog post in defense of America’s acceptance of a war which had been declared by an influential collective of sociopathic followers of Islam.

I also attempted to reinstate the commission I had resigned over a decade earlier, but was denied due to my age, the obsolescence of my MOS and my overall physical health. This fight, it seemed, would be waged on my family’s behalf by my younger brother, a career Army NCO named Michael Gary Olsen (he’s on the left of the general).

Much to the chagrin of those of us who continued to mourn the murder of those on 9/11, most of the American left immediately sought to portray the POTUS, VPOTUS and anyone associated with the GOP as evil, villainous criminals, determined to undermine peace in favor of corporate profit. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were repeatedly portrayed as bloodthirsty vampires, and were routinely celebrated as sub-humans worthy of criminal prosecution and/or assassination.

And so it went for much of the 00′s. The Democrat Party, and Johns Kerry and Edwards mounted a largely ineffective campaign in ’04, but it seemed that most of us knuckle-dragging, puppy-kicking, Muslim-hating troglodytes weren’t too inclined to side with an uber-wealthy-marrying Presidential candidate who so proudly defecated upon the very country that borne him. George W. Bush may have been a cowboy, but he damn sure knew that Genghis Kahn’s first name didn’t start with a “J,” s a certain Boston Brahmin seemed to believe back in 1971.

But as certain as we were about GWB’s staunch support of the GWOT, most of us were exceedingly disappointed with the path he forged for Barack Obama vis-a-vis domestic spending. “Compassionate Conservatism” translated into “I’m gonna do whatever it takes to get the MSM to like me,” regardless of the cost (and the utter futility of seeking approval from the media). For every waterboarded terrorist whose confession prevented another attack on our soil, billions were spent in pursuit of ensuring the continuing dependance upon government by those who were least inclined to actually earn a paycheck. Again, why buy the cow when the milk can be purchased with an EBT card?

Fast forward to today, and our frustration with GWB’s fiscal irresponsibility has resulted in the ascension of the most irresponsible, unqualified man-child ever to take the oath of office. Leftists spent almost a decade kvetching about the dangers of a Republican Homeland Security Department, but now fall predictably silent as the Democrat Party dismantles capitalism in favor of a futile pursuit of egalitarianism under color of tolerance, given that their figurehead happens to be a charismatic, teleprompter-dependant, under-achieveing, petulant man-child named Barack Obama.

Three years in, and we dissenters are bombarded with allegations of racism, hatred, ignorance and violence, despite the fact that almost 1,200 arrests (and more than a few incidents of public defecation, rape, drug use and assault) come at the hands of the very people who have made careers out of disparaging us. The hypocrisy of the largest media apparatus in the world has become so common, most us have now elevated the left’s preferred scapegoat to the highest-rated network in the history of television, if only to remind us that we’re presently being governed by a party who neither respects us nor listens to our grievances.

So it goes that I happened upon the Gingrich/Cain debate two weeks ago, and found myself deciding that if the game is to be won, perhaps I should put my helmet on and huddle up.

Thanks to the Democrat Party and Bill Clinton, I can gleefully disregard Newt’s “baggage” in favor of his pursuit of a “higher truth.” I can also look beyond his idiotic decision to plant his ass right next to Granny McRictus Botox a couple of years ago, given that he now refers to that as “dumbest single thing” he’s done.

God knows I’ve done far stupider things than that, and still have people around me who can testify to the veracity of my conservatism. Witness my perpetually-optimistic grin that last night Obama displayed any sort of humility in Grant Park before he decided he really could “lower the oceans,” and all. What can I say? I’m a patriot, at heart, and have always cherished that our transfer of power doesn’t include machetes and burning tires filled with gasoline hung around our opponent’s necks.

So we come to the Gingrich/Cain debate a couple of weeks ago, and I’m floored…

For those who don’t know, I’ve spent the last few years working as Director of Development for one of the largest and most-respected fine arts institutions in America, if not the world. We have an annual operating budget of just under $25 million a year, 70% of which my department is responsible for raising.

In other words, I’m really good at raising money, even if most of the people (hello, Penny Pritzker!!!) who write me checks are liberals who wouldn’t give me a plum nickel if they suspected I vote GOP.

Well, guess what?

As of last week, I’ve accepted a position in the Gingrich campaign in fundraising, and have relocated to Atlanta. Time to put the helmet on, kids, because like it or not, this is, indeed, a war.

With all due respect to some folks’ support of Herman Cain, the notion of Barry going up against Newt in a debate, mano e mano, is simply too great NOT to work toward, and is well worth my resignation from my previous employer.

NEWT FOR AMERICA 2012

PS – * not to mention, a pretty sizeable check from me, as well

What Was That Shakespeare Said About Lawyers Again???

The following has been floating around the blogosphere for the last few days. Nobody seems too sure about who wrote it, and considering the message, that doesn’t seem too terribly important. I may not necessarily agree with everything here, but again, conservatives aren’t the ones who demand complete adherence.

Submitted without further comment…

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers Party .
Barack Obama is a lawyer.
Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer.. Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
John Edwards is a lawyer.
Elizabeth Edwards was a lawyer.

Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate). Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.

Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:
Harry Reid is a lawyer.
Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.
President Bush was a businessman.
Vice President Cheney was a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.
House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.
The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.

Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976. The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers. The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich. The Lawyers Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers Party, grow.
Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail? Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers.
Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people. Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side. Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation.

When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming.

Some Americans become adverse parties of our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit.

We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.

When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers Party to provide real change, real reform or real hope in America . Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789. Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders. Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business.

Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world’s population and 66% of the world’s lawyers!

Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party.

When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

The Inevitable “Occupy Star Fleet!” Thread

Not sure if someone’s already drawn the parallels here, but what the hell – it’s Monday, right?

Tell me this doesn’t strike you as familiar in some weird, geeky way…

According to the Star Trek Wikipedia, Memory Alpha, the synopsis for this episode, “The Way to Eden,” is as follows…

The Enterprise picks up a group of occupiers, er…”renegades” who have rejected modern technological life to search for the mythical planet Eden.

Of course, the “space hippies” are genetically altered in order to bring about a more perfect, egalitarian, utopian race, completely oblivious to the deadly disease that they’ve contracted as a result of their petulant, elitist ideology. Again, am I the only one seeing something strangely familiar here?

They end up trying to steal the Enterprise (paging Elizabeth Warren!!), a vessel they neither constructed nor own, in an attempt to drag the knuckle-dragging, proletariat Enterprise crew, kicking and screaming into their self-destructive future.

Again, I find it interesting that these people, having failed countless times to bring their fantasies to fruition on their own, somehow depend upon the very system they purport to despise to provide them with an infrastructure from which to commence whatever inevitable failures their masters conceive of.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m a Trekkie, but despite Gene Roddenberry’s penchant for envisioning egalitarian utopias, the man not only clearly prophesied iPods, iPads and smartphones, he also seemed to sense the left’s stubborn refusal to pay attention to their own repeated failures.

“Live long and prosper,” but do please try to remember to pay your friggin bills.

Like A Punch In The Face, Occubots Learning Valuable Life Lessons

Reality keeps coming, as noted in this article in the New York Magazine (language warning). People are upset that they don’t get to drum all day and all night–and that their fellow occupiers might want to sleep also. People are upset that they have to share their tips. People are upset because of the community consensus process–so they are breaking into smaller groups. People are upset that other occupiers are acting like spoiled children. People are upset that fellow occupiers are not sharing their stuff equally. People are upset that fellow occupiers don’t like to clean up. People are upset that their fellow occupiers are making them clean up.

In short, people are being people in a park in New York City. And other people are wondering why it is working out this way.

It is simple, really. I don’t personally believe that human beings are intrinsically good. Rather, they are intrinsically flawed. That’s why we need laws which are based in fact outside of ourselves. That is why the rule of law is key to a useful society. That is why quasi-anarchy does not work.

I should note, however, that where the so-called “liberal elite” use our human frailties as the basis for judging us too ignorant to know good from evil, thereby legislating and/or regulating us knuckle-dragging proles into some insane fantasy of egalitarian perfection, conservatives take it for granted that their fellow humans understand right from wrong, and simply demand respect for oneself and one’s fellow citizens. This, to most thinking people, is best achieved by taking responsibility for one’s actions.

Of course, it also helps to accept that 2+2=4. It will always equal 4. It has never equaled anything other than 4, regardless of the fact that the first person to have arrived at that answer may have been a greedy, selfish, 1% free market capitalist, and should therefore be disregarded.

Perhaps some of the occupiers will use what they’ve learned to grow up. Then again, maybe they’ll just be upset about that, too.

Wonderful: One-Third Of OWS Ready To Get Medieval On Our Asses

From Douglas Schoen at the WSJ Online…

The protesters have a distinct ideology and are bound by a deep commitment to radical left-wing policies. On Oct. 10 and 11, Arielle Alter Confino, a senior researcher at my polling firm, interviewed nearly 200 protesters in New York’s Zuccotti Park. Our findings probably represent the first systematic random sample of Occupy Wall Street opinion.

I know. Big surprise, right? However vociferously the MSM wants to assert that conservatives are taking part in this unflushed toilet bowl of petulance and hipster doofusness, the fact of the matter is that this “movement” is based almost exclusively on lies:

Our research shows clearly that the movement doesn’t represent unemployed America and is not ideologically diverse. Rather, it comprises an unrepresentative segment of the electorate that believes in radical redistribution of wealth, civil disobedience and, in some instances, violence. Half (52%) have participated in a political movement before, virtually all (98%) say they would support civil disobedience to achieve their goals, and nearly one-third (31%) would support violence to advance their agenda. [Emphasis mine]

The vast majority of demonstrators are actually employed, and the proportion of protesters unemployed (15%) is within single digits of the national unemployment rate (9.1%).

So basically, we’re dealing with dishonest “youths” who, aside from wanting to take what isn’t theirs, are clearly unclear as to what they want. Throw in a considerable number who are just begging for their collars to be taken off, and all we’d be missing is Mayor Daley proclaiming that “the police are not here to create disorder, they’re here to preserve disorder.”

Of course, never one to miss an opportunity to step into a steaming pile of dog poo, along comes President Lightbringer to embrace the hate…

In a call previewing Obama’s upcoming bus tour through North Carolina and Virginia, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama “will continue to acknowledge the frustration that he himself shares,” about Washington’s laggard response to the financial crisis.

Earnest added that while on the trip, Obama will make it clear that he is fighting to make certain that the “interests of 99 percent of Americans are well represented” — the first time the White House has used the term to differentiate the vast majority of Americans from the wealthy.

I wonder if he’s interested in “well representing” this raging anti-semite, er…sweet young lady:

Gabriel Malor sums it up best…

Has there been anything about the “Hitlers Bankers” signs, the yells to “Go home, Jews” in the New York Times? The Washington Post? The NBC, ABC, CBS nightly newscasts? Of course not.

It was radio silence on the Occupiers’ anti-semitism for the past three weeks and now that President Lightbringer is on board the obfuscation will only get worse.

SCOAMF, indeed.

Addendum: Douglas Schoen served as a pollster for President Clinton. Just sayin…

We Are The 53%

Presented without comment, because sometimes, it just isn’t necessary

We are going to win this, because not only does character and integrity never go out of style, they can never be defeated, nor do they require one to defecate in public in order to be acknowledged.

h/t: iOwnTheWorld

UPDATE: thanks to the inimitable V the K, who pointed out the following incredible video from Charles C.W. Cooke at NRO:

Compare and contrast this insufferable tool with the 53%, and you’ll know precisely why we are, indeed, going to win this.

“Occupy [insert name]” – What do they want? When do they want it?

The former? They’re not sure.

The latter? NOW!

Matt Labash over at The Weekly Standard went in search of some answers:

So what do they want? Besides, seemingly, to complain a lot about corporations, the very entities that provide so many of the jobs that our economy is sorely in need of? What are they advocating, besides their right to assemble publicly for the purposes of bucket-drumming and eating vegan quiche in the free chow line? Well, according to another posting on OWS’s website, they want a universal single-payer health care system, a guaranteed living wage regardless of employment, free college education, one trillion dollars in infrastructure improvement, to bring the fossil-fuel economy to an end, to outlaw all credit-reporting agencies, and to see immediate across-the-board debt forgiveness for all. This is just a partial list, but they’re also going to be needing unlimited open-borders migration, too, since “these demands will create so many jobs, it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.”

But wait! Above that original posting is now an administrative note saying this is “not an official list of demands.” It is a forum post submitted by a single contributor and “hyped by irresponsible news/commentary agencies like Fox News.” It’s never been proposed or agreed to “on a consensus basis” by the OWS movement, so “there is NO official list of demands.”

Which brings us back to square one. Whether OWS just wants to end corporate welfare and protect workers’ rights, or whether they want the roads paved in gumdrops and to see every American entitled to a backrub from Sofía Vergara, they’re not interested in officially saying.

I see. Yeah, they’re just like the Tea Party, alright. Hardly discernible.

But with one slight difference, I notice. The Tea Party isn’t in the habit of being so self-involved they give the cold shoulder to people they purport to respect…

About 200 people attended the event. U.S. Congressman John Lewis even stopped by for about half an hour.

Several demonstrators held signs showing their frustration with Washington’s relationship with big business. Many people voiced general frustration. One woman said she was there for changes for animals. Another attendee said he didn’t think either party represented his feelings.

Congressman Lewis (D, GA) was ready to talk to the group, but they didn’t give him a chance to speak.

“I was going to say, I stand with you. I support you, what you’re down,” said Lewis to the media.

Seems a bit, I dunno, RAAA-CIST!!!!, don’t you think?

As Jazz Shaw at Hot Air points out, this latest bit of spoiled, petulant nonsense seems to have had the opposite effect of what they may have been looking for…

Michelle Williams was excited to attend the event and no longer wanted to be associated with the movement, citing how Lewis was treated.

“I am angry because this is not what democracy is all about. This is Marxist more Stalin like. Your movement, you’re just riff-raff. You’re an organized mob,” said Williams.

Just like the unassailable majority they were able to hold onto only until the very next election, it appears even a fawning media apparatus isn’t enough to keep Democrats and progressives from screwing it all up, given their propensity for obtuseness, violence, insult, and a staggering inability (or unwillingness) to tell anyone just what it is they want.

Many of us realized long ago that there really is no debate to be had with these people. So confident in the righteousness of their cause, so sure of man’s inherent evilness absent central planning by our betters, they’ve taken the absolute worst characteristics of history’s prior attempts at freedom-killing “-ism’s” and doubled down on them all. Of course, they’re in pursuit of “<a higher truth,” so who are we criticize?

Again, I hope this goes on, and the MSM sticks around to catch every glorious moment as these aimless, perpetually-aggrieved useful idiots march their unwashed selves right into irrelevancy. Whereas I used to resent the arrogance of millennials and the older liberals who so cheerfully encouraged them, I now find myself almost giddy with anticipation, secure in the knowledge that given enough time, nothing eradicates progressives quite as effectively as progressives themselves. It’s only a question of “when.”

As Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka once said as Augustus Gloop was moments away from realizing the consequences of his impertinence, “The suspense is terrible. I hope it lasts.”

“You Shall Know Them By Their Fruits”

The mass of petulant self-absorption and impotent rage known as “Occupy [insert name here]” has finally managed to do what progressives everywhere have been unwilling to do for almost a century: tell the world what it is they truly believe.

Less than 36 months after they were promised a permanent Democrat majority and dismayed by the abject failure of an overrated community activist (yet unwilling to leave that abusive relationship), the fruits of the Boomer generation, themselves the spoiled fruits of the Greatest Generation, have a message for us all:

When words simply cannot convey the intensity of your loathing and passion of your argument, I suppose it makes perfect sense to drop your pants in broad daylight and confess to the world that while elections have consequences, defecating on a police car is completely logical when you can’t win any.

When I first began blogging in the weeks leading up the 2004 elections, I found myself primarily playing defense for an administration I disagreed with domestically, but felt compelled to support in the face of a Democrat Party that regarded my career Army brother as no better than “Nazis, Pol Pot, and others.” From the moment Dick Durbin uttered those words until that night in Grant Park when the Lightbringer ascended to the right hand of Saul Alinsky, I watched as the fruits of the Great Society consumed mass quantities, threw infantile temper tantrums when told “no,” and gleefully mocked, demonized, marginalized and urinated on anyone who dared question them (Yet Nancy Pelosi is offended because Scott Brown has no burning desire to see Liz Warren naked. Go figure.).

Three years later, and the utter failure of Barack Obama and the progressive agenda is self-evident. All have been exposed as narcissistic, self-absorbed con artists, and none have proven worthy of even a scintilla of the respect they claim every human being is entitled to, as exemplified by this young man’s inhuman display last Friday in New York.

This is the essence of the Democrat Party. This is “the 99%” Pelosi, Obama and Hugo Chavez and every other unapologetic liar cheers on in their pursuit of “a higher truth.”

However, I must confess that I, too, wish them “long life and ample publicity,” in the words of George Will:

“[T]he tea party was the bourgeoisie in revolt and they immediately went into the business of winning elections and running candidates,” Will said on ABC’s “This Week with Christiane Amanpour.”

“I disagree with some of the Republicans. I wish the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators long life and ample publicity for two reasons: I think they do represent the intellectual spirit of the American left, but also I remember 1960s. We had four years of demonstrations like this led up to 1968 when the Nixon/Wallace vote was 57 percent — the country reacting against demonstrators, and Republicans went on to win five of the next six presidential elections.”

Indeed.

Perhaps the greatest thing about the Democrats’ and progressives’ lack of character is their utter inability to learn from their mistakes. Couple this with their delusions of grandeur, and it makes their tears of defeat all the more delicious, does it not?

If it were up to me, I’d give the repugnant little savage in the picture a medal.
