When the only person she’s debated in the last four years is Joe Biden, makes you wonder what she would do v. Romney, Newt, or Perry.

As I mention she has some other legal considerations that in all likelihood will make October 15th/30th the date to enter.

I think Palin has played her supporters and the MSM for a bunch of saps. She’s not running, yet she won’t run the risk of losing her supporters.

How long a candidate waits to declare? The deadlines are in place for a reason. That’s so potential candidates can choose any day they darn well please all the way up until that day to publicly declare. If it takes waiting until the last day to get an actual conservative in this race, more power to her. With the field of candidates we have now, I see it as still wide open so I hope she jumps in even if it’s at the last possible second. The way I see it, if a true conservative doesn’t jump in this race, we’re totally screwed! Instead of worrying about Palin getting in, I’m more concerned about keeping Rino’s like Chris Christie out of the race.

Palin is an anachronism. She had her chance to enter the race and shake it up a bit. The door was wide open for her, and she ignored it. And then came Rick Perry, and now we have a conservative to coalesce around. Who needs the gaffe-prone demi-conservative Palin now? If she (in some fit of idiocy) makes a desperate run, she will find herself irrelevant, worshipped only by her loyal Shriners.

It became clear to me when it was announced that Palin was sharing top billing at an October Tea Party event with Glenn Beck….. GLENN BECK!

No presidential candidate (no serious one) would agree to co-headline an event with a talk radio host.

Palin is going to convince people that she is ready to meet Merkel, Netanyahu and Putin, but has to accept co-star status with a talk radio host at a Tea Party event?

such as leaving the governorship before the end of her term and not letting anyone else pick her announcement date (how’s that working out for Perry and Bachman?) are welcome to their opinions but clearly have not been following her closely since 2008 and apparently know absolutely nothing about her pre-2008 political history. Before you blow any more hot air, read her 2 books and watch The Undefeated. Then estimate how much money the current candidates have spent and compare that to how much she has. Then compare their respective standings in the polls.

My response is not about whether Palin would be a good candidate or not for Republicans. Rather I think Erickson overstated to the point of misleading readers who just glance at headlines versus looking for the dirty details. I hope to trust Erickson to save me time by fleshing out the details but now I know I also cannot trust him to get past his own biases.

Erick, you overstated Palin…perhaps to the point of putting words in her mouth. Then you act like a jerk about it–like a teenage punk on the hour every hour–and then whine about it when people attack you (I’m not defending inappropriate responses or attacks on you by any means).

So she refers to others generically up front (including herself to some degree in there…but she brought candidates in general into the scenario even putting the generic scenario for all candidates at the forefront) and then says “that has to be a KIND OF drop dead timeline.”

2. She said it was KIND OF a deadline
3. She did not absolutely say it was her personal deadline either.

All this does not justify your hour on the hour tantrum. You lost so much credibility by people who happend to have been big supporters of you and who also love Perry besides. I mean Palin and Perry overlap on 95% of conservatism no? And you then you treat Palin like the enemy.

Shame on you for misleading people and now you’re probably lack the integrity to post my reply outright as it’s own piece to clarify to your readers who didn’t have time to see the details but were taking you at your word up front—because in the past we could trust you.
