The so called conservatives seem to be running for cover–taking a voice vote on onearmarks so we dont know who supported it! That illegally re-elected senator Murkowski saying she will not honor the ban on earmarks. Now this–a non-conservative being supported even in Texas! This is going to take longer and be harder than we thought to weed out!

I contacted Dwayne Bohac about this, as he is my guy.

I also brought up the importance of the upcoming redistricting and pleaded with him to let us out from under embarrassing predicament of being represented at the federal level by CongressWOMAN Sheila Jackson Lee.

Oh – you can think and believe like a conservative on an issue – but overall – the bad always outweighs the good. Everything wrong with our moral code in this country stems from having no consequences for our actions – no accountability. Democrats believe in excuses, not accountability – in keeping people from failure and therefore from success.

The Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee was once the best-paid US Representative in Congress, by Enron. She has since “cleaned up” those contributions, which totaled around $80,000, maybe more. They were in her District.

Fortunately, members of Congress have NO say (or vote, at least) in redistricting States. This is left up to the State Assemblies, of which our Texas “Lege” is overwhelmingly Republican, as is our Executive.

I like the headline and it is more than true in Delaware. Anew movement was started in Delaware a little more than a year ago. It has grown and become powerful and has empowered the Sussex County conservatives to grow in numbers and power. It has now spread to Kent County and threatens to also grow much bolder in the democratic and liberal conservative stronghold of New Castle County.
As all Americans know, we were beaten by New Castle’s democrats as well as that county’s left of center republicans.
GOP Chairman Tom Ross has been censured by Sussex County Republicans for leading the charge to defeat Christine O’Donnell. State Rep Tom Kovac, from New Castle County actually led the republicans for Chris Coons movement in New Castle County The only redeeming factor was that Kovac was defeated by the democrats in his run for reelection.

We continue to fight to reorganize and force Tom Ross to resign. After he resigns we can reorganize the state.

We have one incumbent, Todd Hunter (R), and the rest are the newly elected’s, all (R). I am asking this because of time constraints and while I love redstate, I have other things I also need to take care of.

I live in one of the most conservative districts in Texas and Doug Miller is my rep. He ran unopposed this last election. I emailed Doug Miller’s office last week and asked him who he supports for Speaker. I never received a response.

I called his office this morning and the person answering the phone stated that Doug Miller supports Joe Straus for Texas Speaker. I asked that he give consideration to supporting Ken Paxton as he more accurately reflects the conservative values of our district.

I voted for Doug Miller when he first ran for office and in this last election. I will not vote for him next election and I will actively work to see that he is challenged in the Republican primary.

Joe Straus is a joke, and Doug Miller should be ashamed.

Straus is a mouthpiece for the GOP powerbrokers in the house. He isnt a Craddick. Which means now with a strong majority of conservatives in the house, he will be a strong conservative this session. I’m not saying he is impressive, I’m just saying he will do what his minders tell him and this time his minders are all conservatives.

All messages voice support for Mr. Paxton with no unfavorable comments on Mr. Stauss and included my name and number for callbacks. Amongst those I spoke with the universal opinion was that there was “plenty of time before the election’.

Taylor is my new rep (I personally grilled him before I voted for him) and I called him about Straus a few days ago. He personally returned my call and said he’d never been pledged to Straus and will support Paxton (plus voter ID, strongest possible anti-illegal immigrant measures, etc. I think you can take him off the undecided list.

Spoke to State House office and they say “Beverley is NOT supporting Strauss” but wont say WHO she is supporting and that they wouldn’t email me because of the open secrets law or something like that. Called campaign office and they said they would ask her WHO she is supporting and email me back. Suggested she unite with other Republican Reps and support Paxon rather than split vote between Paxon and Chisum.

She said Kenneth Sheets was “undecided.”

It is insidious, The bad part is they fool us, we thought Kay Bailey was conservative enough for a while. We got a couple of soft headed old fools like Ralph Hall who fell into the “compassionate” pool. Texans don’t much like calling folks liars which is how we ended up with LBJ, but at least he inspired us to turn Repub. Straus has to go, we do have real conservatives, it is just not our nature lie, lie, lie, which makes us lousy politicians.

And Joe Straus did. $1000 from Winning for Women, a PAC for Planned Parenthood based in San Antonio, during the 2008 election cycle (just before he was elected speaker, actually). It’s on the 30-day report in 2008, with the Texas Ethics Commission, under “Texans for Joe Straus.”

The liberals are trying everything they can to hid the fact that they are lib’s. some 0of them have been being elected as Republicans because they run on the Republican ticket. In most states you can vote a straight ticket so these guys squeeze by. The “We the people” movement has slowed that down by not yet cured the problem. When Bush took the election in 2000 he started the move of kicking conservatives out of the party. Karl Rove, John McCain and Dick Cheney for just a few made sure that people like McCain stayed in office. The poor stupid people of AZ re-elected him knowing that he was a RINO.

Definitions: Liberalism= Communism & socialism all rolled into one.

Conservatism = small government, power to the people, supports free markets provides the poor with jobs instead of welfare and the list can go on.

First may I offer my thanks for your site. I am truly grateful for opportunities and lessons it provides me. Thank you.

Before I make my suggestion I would like to apprise you of some aspects of the current situation in my area. The persons I have spoke with, while polite and respectful, were concerned, at this time, with things like offices, knick knacks, parties and social events, and, of course, The Holidays. I was respectfully reminded that the Election was ‘a ways off’. When someone ‘knew my people’ as we say here at times, I got a little more dirt however the story is basically the same.

My suggestion: It might be better if we knew the exact date of the Election, which I can’t get a straight answer on here in Texas, or locate information on, and that you repeat your effort closer to the above mentioned date. In closing, I would like to add that I think it is an excellent effort. It got me going anyways. It has provided me with some handy information. I still hope to keep up the effort. Thanks.

I am sorry to report that our representative Doug Miller, and our former representative (before the last round of redistricting) Harvey Hildebran, both apparently are supporting Straus. I have sent Miller a respectful email asking that he support Paxton instead of Straus, but have not yet received a reply. More will be revealed ….
