I have NEVER willingly watched CNN until this evening. But I did so to root for our fearless leader.

I still cannot believe though that I actually had to suffer and persevere through the Kennedy poo while waiting for you to appear.

I did a lot of international traveling a few years back, and I’d watch CNN International at the airports and in the hotels.

Glenn Beck shocked me–this is CNN? He’s not a liberal! And he’s doing a special about Muslim extremism–on CNN!

I stopped watching CNN when Beck left (2008) and now watch a straight Fox lineup while I do my internet work.Still, the Beck example shows how it can work for someone who’s conservative.

The home tv is pretty much glued to Fox News, Nickelodeon (the kids), and Spanish soap operas (the wife).

for the 1.5 seconds King gave you (or so it seemed). And I liked the bar setting as well. Did my son put you up to that?

to watch the tripe that CNN trots out as News & Information I decided to DVR John King. I sort of fast forwarded through the run up to your appearance(s); the brief intro sound bite and then your response to King’s very long winded leading question to which you were limited to, more or less, a “Yes” or “No” answer. From this debut, it is clear to me that they are either going to keep you on a very short leash, at least for a while, or they are using this gig to, effectively, muzzle you.

I can appreciate their reticence at giving you an open mike and an open-ended question in your very first appearance. After all, as you have noted, you are better known for a single quote than for all the good that you do day in and day out (as you noted that Shakespeare observed).

So I will continue to watch and see if you are able to open up a niche in the CNN lineup for true conservative commentary or if this is their way of keeping you off of FOX.

This is a battlefield and you’re behind enemy lines. Do not allow them the plenary power to set the Rules of Engagement.

Do not allow them to tame you.

Civil does not mean polite or holding your tongue and you should call it as you see it no matter what. e.g. John Lewis lied about being called the N-word. Simple. Say it. Being a Civil Rights icon does not preclude him being a liar and calling him out on it doesn’t make you a racist.

Accusations of racism (sexism, homophobia, etc.) should be met with withering scorn and contempt.

The fact that CNN has virtually no Republicans or Republican contributors on its newsroom staff while having hundreds of staff who contribute to Democrats is not unfit to bring up where appropriate.

If you are the lone conservative voice against three liberals – you should make sure to point it out. If you are put up against pale pastels or fakes like David Brooks or Frum, point out their fake and liberal pet status. Don’t let them pass off liberal hacks as disinterested observers. If you’re going to get labeled, everyone gets labeled.

Demand equal time and throw elbows.

Look at it this way, that would make for great television and the ratings bump they were looking for when they hired you.
