your voice there about a year ago might have made them focus a little sooner on things like the tea party movement, acorn scandal, van jones debacle etc. They’re woefully behind on what’s ‘breaking’ news. If you see Pelosi wandering the halls for whatever reason, pop her in the nose one good time just on general principles.

CNN may be finally recognizing why they’re a dying network. Time will tell if they really mean to even up their analysis or if this is a token move, but it’s great for you and for us either way.

Now if I can just figure out if I even have CNN, and if so, what channel it is.

Tucker Carlson, Glenn Beck, etc…escapees from that network, had the sense to leave. I’d question taking any job where the previous two occupants found their situation and the hostility to their political philosophy so untenable. While I congratulate Erik on his new gig, particularly if it helps pay the bills, I’d suggest that using this as a platform to get to Fox would be wiser long term strategy. Liberalism is a disease…a contagious one. Conservatism is a cure, and like all cures, is never contagious. It must willfully be consumed. There is far more danger of Erik compromising principles, or adjusting his commentary to please his new Liberal Overlords, than of them willfully consuming the cure that Erik represents.

As for watching? Not in this lifetime.

CNN over the decades has spread more lies and anti-American propaganda while lining the pockets of Ted Turner and affording Jane Fonda a lifestyle neither deserve, I cannot bring myself to watch, and enrichen their wretched souls even further.

Erik may hear the Lord’s voice in all this, and if so, good on him. I won’t presume to doubt that. But from the outside, this looks more like a call to temptation (glory, fame, money) than to redemption.

CNN and MSNBC are two strains of the same disease. I hope — like Beck and Carlson before him — Erik’s had his shots, and knows that when the inevitable comes, and his brand of political thought is no longer appreciated, he will again pray and know when to get out.

By then, Roger Ailes and Fox may find him the opening he so richly deserves.

Unfortunately, in Italy and Germany, CNN is the only English-speaking channel you’ll get when offered television with the lodging. (So I am somewhat familiar with their programming).
