We can certainly pray on their behalf, and will.

Fox has it that “his 69-year-old wife, Landra, …broke her back and neck in the accident” and “their adult daughter, Lana, also was injured” but “neither woman’s life appeared to be in danger, and both women can feel their extremities”.

Prayers sent as well.

we need to pray for his family.

We pray for his family and a full recovery.

I believe they said his wife had a broken bone in her neck, but they didn’t make it sound serious (though that doesn’t seem to make sense).

I just hope we don’t now hear “Thank God my family has the kind of health insurance coverage the Republicans are preventing us from offering to all Americans” or anything like that.

and I wish for their speedy recovery BUT I cannot believe that louse went right back to his BEHIND DOOR meeting to finish off this country while his wife and daughter are hurt in a hospital! He is the weasel I believe him to be!

Are you kidding me? He returned to the Capital to work on health care? Wow.

I am so sorry to hear about Reid’s wife… reports say she has a broken back, broken neck, and a broken nose. Prayers for both Mrs. Reid and her daughter. It was a little alarming to hear he left the hospital to resume healthcare meetings, though. I’m not trying to be mean, but I find that odd with such serious injuries.

They’ll all be in my prayers; even though they may not be life-threatening, those sound like some pretty serious injuries.

You and a friend are driving along on a highway going to a concert and having a conversation when all of a sudden as if somebody flipped a switch – It’s apparently two days later, you’re in a hospital, somebody you don’t recognize tells you that you were in an accident and you’ll be absolutely fine…… and as you realize you’re re physically hurting big-time, that same person says “There’s some problems”.

Your friend of twenty five years that was drivng is gone. The driver and passenger of another car involved are gone too. Four other people from three additional cars were treated and released. By some God-loving miracle, you’re alive, but both your legs are broken in a few places – you also have a concussion and six broken ribs – you’re going to be fine and there won’t be all that much therapy needed. Somehow you were alive and they got you out from under the semi that veered across the highway and t-boned your buddies’ car and hit the others.

After hitting the cars, the truck slammed into a few trees to a complete stop……. Not a scratch on the driver. Not even a bruise. The truck driver fell asleep.

You’re not believing what you’re hearing, you can’t even cry…….. yet………… Then, over that hospital person’s shoulder, you see your five-month’s pregnant wife and your buddy’s wife.

That was a little over twenty years ago. The guy who woke up in the hospital is a friend of mine. I saw two pics of the scene – He looks at them every so often – if and when he tends to forget what really matters.

He and his buddy were meeting their wives at a concert – a kind of celebration night for both of them getting job promotions two weeks before.

His son was named after his buddy and graduates college this year.

Great news that his daughter was released.

But I wonder if the same thing happened to a top Republican’s family would the comments on the left’s websites would be as classy as (most) of the ones here.

May the One who was a source of blessing for our ancestors, bring blessings of healing upon Landra Reid and Lana Berringer, a healing of body and a healing of spirit. May those in whose care they are entrusted be gifted with wisdom and skill, and those who surround them be gifted with love and trust, openness and support in their care. And may they be healed along with all those who are in need. Blessed are You, Source of healing.

And who says Republicans aren’t compassionate!

We should always pray every day for all of our elected leaders, agree or disagree. We don’t have to show agreement in the political arena to pray for someone who is an elected official. God will sort out how to answer our prayers, and He knows what is in our best interest, and He also has something to say about praying for your enemies.

In a case like this, if you are praying for someone on a regular basis, compassion is easy to express. God can do a lot with that.

Just my two cents.

Well, someone needs to pray for them. I don’t think GOD will hear Harry’s.

Dear Lord, please let Pol Pot family be okay too, and let’s not forget Idi Amin
family in Uganda either. I sure it’s not their fault having such a monster in the family. I’m sorry I just can’t. You guys are better than I am so go ahead and pray I know I’m wrong but I don’t care the suffering he has caused is just too much for me. Sorry.

I will said this, I hope his family doesn’t get the Health Care he wants the rest of us to get.

Maybe it’s a warning to back off the ramming of healthcare before you break the back and neck of this great country? Didn’t Harry send a letter to Mitch McConnell justifying the reconciliation process just before this happened? I pray for the full recovery of Harry’s loved ones as well as the health and safety of the country that we love.

even though for my family Harry plans poverty. Rapacious taxation due to the ever expanding size of government is the future he envisions. A good socialist would wish for no other outcome. Cradle to grave security systems are failing everywhere they exist, so why are we in such a hurry to just jump into this boiling cauldron? Give me your health care plan, Harry, and you can have the one you propose for me. Fair enough?
