The New Democratic Coalition ™ DNC aparatniks all despise him for crossing swords with Howard Dean. He’s a Judas to his former Clintonista patrons. His natural constituency leans towards moderate Blue Dog Dems, who no longer have a seat at the table in the New Democratic Coalition ™.

Jarrett and Axelrod calling the shots in the White House is good news for those of us who enjoy the unravelling of The One. It is, however, very bad news for the United States of America. It never works for a President to be exclusively surrounded by his (or her) posse from back home.

The Chicago slumlord queen Valerie Jarrett has been the Chief of Staff all along. She was the person that Obama wanted Blagojevich to appoint to his Senate seat but he wouldn’t pay to get it because he knew that the FBI was taping every call Blago made. When Blago appointed Burris as his last act of defiance, Jarrett got the “Senior Adviser” label and an office in the West Wing.
