Stutzman Aligns With Jim DeMint. Picks Up Huge List of State Legislative Endorsements

At a time when others in the race for the Indiana Senate seat are struggling to get traction outside the sacred halls of the DC GOP establishment, Marlin Stutzman keeps making waves.

He has endorsed the Jim DeMint proposal on financial reform, which calls for a balanced budget and a moratorium on earmarks. In the Indiana Senate, Stutzman endorsed a bill that would have required the legislature not spend as much revenue as came in the door. This goes even further and it is nice to see him align himself publicly to DeMint.

At the same time, he’s picked up a big list of endorsers from the Indiana Senate. 23 Senators came out and lined up behind him. They are:

David Long, Ft. Wayne; Carlin Yoder, Middlebury; R. Michael Young, Indianapolis; Travis Holdman, Markel; Mike Delph, Carmel; Brent Steele, Bedford; James W. Merritt Jr., Indianapolis; Phil Boots, Crawfordsville; Scott Schneider, Indianapolis; Brent Waltz, Greenwood; Randy Head, Logansport; Jean Leising, Oldenburg; Greg Walker, Columbus; Joe Zakas, Granger; Ron Alting, Lafayette; John Waterman, Shelburn; Brandt Hershman, Monticello; Ed Charbonneau, Valparaiso; Allen Paul, Richmond; Ryan Mishler, Bremen; Johnny Nugent, Lawrenceburg; Connie Lawson, Danville; Luke Kenley, Noblesville.

If you haven’t yet, contribute to Marlin Stutzman here.

across the state in good minuteman formation for Marlin Stutzman.
All those who are tired of the moderate concentrics as well as the progressive leftists, let’s step up to the plate and help Stutzmanwin a U.S. Senate seat.

Agree with marie.

using Marie’s “minuteman formation”…let’s march in step for Marlin Stutzman, Indiana’s Marco Rubio.

Stutzman is Indiana's Marco Rubio.

Supported by a grassroot’s effort vs the conventional party endorsement, family immigrated here and started roots in IN, believing in the American Dream, Marlin is the right man, with the right message, at the right time.

He's got the momentum now

Hopefully a DeMint endorsement will follow soon.

BIG endorsement

Given the fact that Indiana has (I believe) 33 Republican senators, grabbing 23 of them is quite a coup for Stutzman.

Standard-bearer for grouchy curmudgeonry since, oh, 1975 or so.

Stutzman is Real

With over 50 years of exposure to politicians, I can safely say Marlin is a person who is not out to serve himself, but to serve his constituents and our country. He is refreshing. I met him about a month ago and asked him a “hard” question. His answered with direct conviction. I pray he is elected here in Indiana.

Interesting to note:

The Indiana Senate has 50 members. So nearly half of the State Senate endorsed him, including the President Pro Tem. Key members from the 8th congressional district (Hostettler’s old stomping grounds) also backed him.

James Madison, Jim DeMint, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan… You get the picture.

17th amendment

Couldn’t we just ignore the 17th amendment and call Stutzman the winner as in chosen by our legislature. (Smile) It’s obvious much of the voting populace lacks discernment.
