As for the gabfest: If you were to say that the Democrats talked twice as long as the Republicans, you’d be wrong. They talked MORE than twice as long.

Just when I was starting to think Politico was admirably even-handed in their coverage.

The President’s best moment…I wonder if the real Acme Insurance will get an apology from him?

And I don’t mean with the conference, I mean Barak Obama made no attempt to hide is arrogance, condescension, patronization, and impatience. I was totally appalled at the manor in which he spoke to John McCain, a war veteran and POW.

But then again I’m still trying to recover from Obama’s “corpse men”, and the 57 states he’s visited. It’s bad enough not to be a regular citizen and make ignaorant comments, But it’s just down right stupid for a president to surround himself with advisors that don’t have any more sense than he does.

Americans! Did you hear this man, the President of the United States, call these 2700 pages of attempted legal embezzlement of your future a prop? These 2700 pages that will put you in a stranglehold while the government goes through your pockets? For him, and his Party leadership, it is only a prop. Think how many regulations lie within these 2700 pages! Think how many more empowered bureaucrats are created wtihin these 2700 pages! Think how the money will continue to hemorrhage from our nation into the hands of people who don’t live in this country nor were they born of it. So if, for the Democrats, this is just a prop. I have to ask — if it is a prop, can you tell us clearly what scenario you have written to go with it?

in his usual condescending manner (paraphrasing, but not much), “The problems we’re dealing with are so large that the problem with your bill is that it isn’t radical enough.” I thought, “Wow, that’ll be a great sound bite, he’s admitting he’s for radical change.” Then he must have realized what he said, and he went on, “Um, and our bill isn’t radical, either. None of these bills are radical.”

I see the purpose of the meeting now: figure out a way to get people to actually listen to Obama, since coming on TV by himself (yet again!) isn’t working anymore. They think this explanation of their position will give them cover for moving forward, death or glory.

He made it very clear that he would not tolerate any dilly-dallying. He wanted the GOP to come up with clear decisions and get back to him in a couple of weeks or he would have to move forward. Obama actually supports this academically driven concept of “downsizing” cities. Rather than admit to the faults in their higher taxes, more regulations, hyper-unions and generational welfare the progressives have decided to use “amputation” as a cure.

As I say in my post, I’ve been following this new theory for a while. It is sold as a way to reduce the drain on cities AND it is eco-friendly because it creates a number of city parks. On paper the concept makes some sense. However it does not address the core causes of urban blight. The left cannot admit their mistakes. Their desire to gain more power and control over the people is paramount to all other things. The fact Obama thinks favorably about forced seizure of land and forced relocation of citizens so the “city” (think the “state”) can survive is not surprising. From the post-

My friend, who I have often called MENSA bright, argues with me about certain things. He suffers from being a little too academic himself not really grasping the the exercise he sees in front of him is actually IN FRONT OF HIM! It’s like my post on wishing zombies would visit because many of the liberals academics would be the first to die because they would refuse to accept the reality of the situation. A few less liberals would be a good thing.

I guess I’m one of the few that really understands this is not a game or a classroom exercise. This is reality. Obama knows this. His people know this. Some of the good Republicans know this as do a good number of Tea Party goers. But many, far too many, still think this is “just politics as usual.” It is not. Why is Obama so dead set on taking your health coverage away from you? Why is he willing to allow the slaughter of his own party to obtain this ONE goal? If it means so much to him, we should make sure it means that much to us.

Even if it passes states should refuse to participate, people should refuse to participate, companies should refuse. The law should take on the same “pariah” label that laws preventing blacks from eating at a restaurant or sitting where they want in a bus did.

Obama arrogantly said yesterday that elections mattered. In 2010 let us show him how right he is, and then in 2012 once again.

I’m curious. Did anyone ever ask Obama if he had ever read the entire bill? That would have been interesting.

Recently Barbara Boxer(D) called out an Army General because he called her “Maam”. Didnt seem to bother Obama who called Senators by their first name. When it was brought up that Democrats got to speak twice as long as Republicans( Turns out Democrats spoke to 233 minutes and Republicans 119 minutes no counting Obama) Obama said ” Because I am the President and I make the rules”. Then there was the third insident where Obama told McCain when he asked a question where he responded” John, the election is over”.

If people cant see the arrogance of Obama, Pelosi and Reid as well as many other Democrats then they are brain dead.
