I like the guy.
NeoKong (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 7:32PM EST (link)I wish that Scott Brown in Massachusetts was getting some good Red State love too.
Now that’s a guy that could use some help.
This is the first chance in twenty or thirty years to pick off a Mass. Senate seat and it won’t come along again for a long time.

Scott Brown has a chance to win.
tbaleno Tuesday, December 29th at 7:45PM EST (link)I’m with you on this.
When will Redstate see Scott Brown as anything but a lost cause.
Brown does have slim chance of winning and probably more of a chance than hoffman had in NY-23.
Sometimes you have to try.
NeoKong (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 8:32PM EST (link)Even if he loses he still rises in stature and could be competitive next time. Hoffman is a good example. He may have lost the special election but he has a good shot next year. Ronald Reagan tried three times before he finally became a POTUS.
Brown’s opponent Coakley is weak and could be defeated. Maybe if Brown got some star power to help him he could do it.
A little Sarah or some Fred Thompsom couldn’t hurt.
A nice segment on Hannity or maybe Laura Ingraham would be nice.
He needs more than money. He needs exposure.

I've looked at Brown
suej (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 8:51PM EST (link)And his voting record makes him look like a soft Republican and not a true conservative. More of an Olympia Snowe.
IMHO
I'd put up with him...
Mike (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 9:00PM EST (link)…for six years, just for the PR bonanza of picking off Ted Kennedy’s seat just as the health-care bill gets to the House.
Have you ever been to Taxachuessetts?
Achance (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 9:12PM EST (link)You’re not electing any “true conservative,” whatever that is, there. You’re not even bloody likely to elect a Republican that actually sounds like a Republican.
In Vino Veritas
Olympia Snowe instead of Ted Kennedy...

Let's Not Even Go There
Swamp_Yankee (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 10:03PM EST (link)Scott Brown is no Olympia Snowe. There are some people, who cant differentiate conservative activism from Republican activism.
Those who know the difference know that Scott Brown is no Olympia Snowe. He’s his own man and I cant really compare him to anybody. He wont be a reliable GOP vote and wont toe the line for the leadership on all issues. But he will on taxes, he will on national security. He’s a no vote on C&T and ObamaCare. He’s an affable guy, who will help lift the image of the party in the Northeast.
And he wins, he takes “Ted Kennedy’s Seat” while all the posthumous biographies on TK are being written.
It would be a political earthquake.
NeoKong (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 10:42PM EST (link)Kennedy’s seat going red….?
After the health care vote no less.
People would notice.
Follow me on Twitter.
Are you sure it would be after?
Anteater (Diary) Wednesday, December 30th at 12:43AM EST (link)I read somewhere that Scott Brown if elected could be the vote that stops Obamacare.
I agree with you based on my limited exposure
aesthete (Diary) Wednesday, December 30th at 2:03AM EST (link)For one thing, he seems pretty rock-solid in foreign policy. But even if he was a clone of Olympia Snowe, he would beat Teddy with a big, bloody stick, and I don’t know for the life of me why someone would grouse about “purity” on a potential win this big, and this deep in the heart of liberalism.

Absolutely we need this in Mass.
barbs003 Wednesday, December 30th at 10:42AM EST (link)We need a voice from this wilderness of liberalism. I am putting my yard sign (paid for by me) out front to let everyone know that someone else other than a Democrat should be in the Senate. And we could get a “jump” on defeating this Obamacare rather than wait for the fall elections to possibly repeal it. Let’s shut it down NOW.
Another donation is on the way.

Rubio rocks!!
itsjoanne Tuesday, December 29th at 10:15PM EST (link)He will make a wonderful Senator.
Regarding Scott Brown, if you look at his web site he’s quite conservative on most issues. He’s a good candidate for Massachusetts. And most importantly…. he would deny Reid his filibuster proof majority.
A win by Scott Brown could end Obamacare. This is an important election and the national GOP is ignoring it.

New Message received for donation to Rubio
nelsa (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 10:29PM EST (link)Thank you for your generous donation to Marco Rubio for US Senate. By giving to the cause, you’re standing for preserving the promise of America, limited government and lower taxes. Together we will work to preserve an America where anyone, from anywhere, will have a real chance to succeed and prosper. As Americans, this is our common heritage. Now let us make it our common destiny. Thank you for standing with Marco as we work to make this vision a reality.

Can Crist Survive a Right-Wing Uprising in Florida?
izoneguy (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 11:13PM EST (link)http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1950222,00.html
Perhaps Crist’s biggest asset is money. The conservative groundswell for Rubio has netted his campaign a surprising $1 million; Crist, however, has $5 million, which could begin raining down on his opponent early next year.
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
Newbusters debunked that story today
nelsa (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 11:35PM EST (link)Time Magazine Praises Republican Crist…in Order to Slam Conservative Primary Opponent
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gladnick/2009/12/29/time-magazine-praises-republican-crist-order-slam-conservative-primary
There was also a blatant lie in that story.
“(They also know, according to polls, that Crist has a better chance of defeating a Democratic candidate next fall than Rubio does.)
According Rasmussen the numbers stand as follows:
In the Senate race, voters not affiliated with either party favor Crist over Meek 47% to 22%. Rubio leads Meek 58% to 22% among unaffiliateds.
Twenty-four percent (24%) of Florida voters now view Rubio very favorably, up 11 points from October. Only 7% view Rubio very unfavorably.
Crist’s very favorably ratings remain unchanged since October, with 17% who view the governor that way. Thirteen percent (13%) give Crist a very unfavorable rating.
—————————–
So. not only does Rubio have a better rating against Meek (D) he also has higher favorability ratings.
Yes, I saw that also....
izoneguy (Diary) Tuesday, December 29th at 11:40PM EST (link)It helps to read the distortions printed by the left to understand what you have to overcome. Tell the truth and run with a conviction that you will stand on the truth. How could Crist have a better chance of defeating a Democratic candidate next fall than Rubio when Crist is such a RINO? I think it is the other way around. By next fall the Democrats will be ObamaActive…….
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
