This is just fantastic news for conservatives at a time when we really, really need some. And we need the leadership of good conservatives like DeMint to help us defeat the GOP establishment! It would be particularly exciting to see Palin get involved with the Rubio campaign. I’d love to see her campaigning for conservatives all over the country in 2010. (And Fred! too — Fred!Fred!Fred!)

After NY-23 (I am in NY-22) I knew the coalition that very nearly put Doug Hoffman in office would be successful with other campaigns because all they (we) needed was just a bit more time. We have well over 10 months to cream Crist with Rubio and win in tons of other races.

Will the NRSC, the RNC, and other GOP establishment orgs get on board or go down with a sinking ship of moderate mediocrity? As long as conservatives clean moderates’ and Blue Dogs’ clocks, I don’t really care.

Once again we see the RNC backing a looser establishment candidate against a real conservative.

The RNC is now backing their choosen candiate and upping the attack machine against Rand Paul in the KY Senate race.

Rand Paul is out polling the looser(and the dem), and out fund raising him by a mile, and now the big RNC is stepping in to help their looser candidate attack the conservative.

Why don’t the RNC just come out, admit the real truth and start backing the Democratic candidates for office?

I’m curious as to how it came to be, that conservatives would now be fighting to “take back” the Republican party– from 1994, and the Haley Barbour- led RNC’s smashing victories across the country, to 2006 defeats and current days of hanging on by a fingernail, as managed by Steele et.al.– the massive growth of federal government in years 2001 to 2008 did not help matters– the average voter saw right through all that to realize that the Gingrich-prescribed Contract with America was over by then– and found nobody with the intestinal fortitude to stand up for it–

The only problem with the remarks is that Trey Greyson has always been a conservative as well, and he is in his second term as an elected state official in Kentucky. The only reason Rand Paul is doing anything is all the Paul people, who are not by any means a majority, are sending the money they gave to his dad last year, who did absolutely terrible in the primaries despite all his money. Trey Greyson is a great candidate and has proven himself. Rand Paul has proven himself as a doctor, but nothing else, except words. Why do we accept his words, when we accept no others? Because he is part of the cult culture of the Paulistas. Not enough, my friend.

All it takes for Rubio to catch fire is exposure. Crist had the name recognition thing on his side, but now, with Rubio becoming known, Crist’s well-known name is rapidly becoming a non-issue.

I am not one to indulge in spite or to be vindictive, but I have to make an exception here. I want Rubio to win not just because he is the next leader of the movement, but also because I want to stick it to Cornyn. We deserve a little revelry after the last year of crap, don’t we? LOL.

By the way, is it too early to call myself a “Rubio Republican?” Because I really want to call myself a Rubio Rebpulican. The Rube is awesome.

I would love to see Crist drop out by the primary (Aug 24th). We’ve got a long ways until the primary and I think Rubio is going to win BIG. Crist will have no other option but to drop out and try to save a little face.

Cornyn and the NRSC, NRCC, and RNC are now not only hindrances to the country but are detriments to the country.

Hopefully “The Money” will come over to our side and we can carpet bomb the establishment across the country with conservative candidates that can win!

We need to decide what we stand for and then stand for it. Those who call themselves conservative yet do not have the courage to stand against the RINO-RNC are simply cowards who stand for nothing, and are as much to blame for the downfall of the USA as any of the Leftist Establishment.

We either stand for something or we will fall for anything.

I don’t think the Democrats or the Republicans are going to like this next election very much. I have been saying that for 8 or 9 months now.

In the general election, Rubio wins 49-35, while Crist wins by only 42-36.

Rubio wins by more than twice the margin that Crist does, and Crist is down from a 12-point lead since October.

This comes mostly from the fact that Rubio wins unaffiliated voters 58-22 compared to Crist’s 47-22, and because he wins 79% of Conservatives to Crist’s 62%.

So much for that whole “electability” issue. Any bets on how long it takes for the NRSC to start running anti-rubio ads?
