Charlie Crist Lies Again About Marco Rubio

It is called projection. The big spending, tax-hiking cover of the Florida accuses his opponent who has always been committed to cutting spending and taxes as being a big spending tax hiker.

Come on, Charlie. Even the media is calling you out for your lies.

“When you hear people out there on the campaign trail talking about what they’re going to do, look at what they’ve already done,” said Crist, going on to cast Rubio as a big-spending, tax-raiser. “Let’s make sure the words meet the facts. I don’t believe in raising taxes. I’m running against someone who wanted to,” said Crist, apparently referring to Rubio’s support of a plan to raise sales taxes while cutting property taxes.

But Crist never mentioned that he signed a budget this year that includes more than $2-billion in new taxes and fees. In fact, several times Crist made claims about his record that have been widely debunked or undercut by reality

Stop being a girl and own up to your record, Governor.

Well, that's another $25 for Mr. Rubio.

No snark here.

Keep on talking, Governor Crist.

Please.

Each time you do, Mr. Rubio’s donations and numbers jump a bit.

Kenny, $38 more going to Marco

GregInFla (Diary) Monday, December 14th at 11:49PM EST (link)

Marco asked for donation of $25, $38, or $50. After never getting a plea for $38 before, I just had to write the check for $38. Maybe Crist can get a mention on O’Reilly Factor in the Reality Check segment.

I bet Mr. Rubio could really broaden his appeal and voting base by asking for another ‘different’ amount.

$ 57…… 1 dollar for each of our 57 states.

What…… I said something wrong again ?

We can’t let big tax and spenders in the Senate!!! Look at this absurd comment about cap and tax. These people are not conservatives!!

“Florida should position itself for what I believe is inevitable, and that is a federal cap and trade program. Florida should do everything it can to be be an early complier so it that can access early compliance funds
and so that it can help influence what that cap and trade looks like at the federal level. So I’m in favor of giving the Department of Environmental Protection a mandate that they go out and design a cap and trade or a carbon tax program and bring it back to Legislature for ratification sometime in the next two years.”

Look, we can stop talking about the War in the GOP as far as Crist/Rubio is concerned...

Initial registration, pro-rated annual registration, new tag and a few listed fees that I definitely have a bit of an issue with was – no joke – $435.00……….The registration expires on my birthday in April.

Can’t wait to see what they come up with by then.

Richard Mullins (Diary) Tuesday, December 15th at 12:34AM EST (link)

I’ve never had a fee that much(most of time for me it was around $75) and I’d be crying foul if that happened here. The new personalized license plates from the newly created Department of Motor Vehicles(I’m guessing you might know what idiot State Senator would come up with that) are $195 for a year at http://www.myplates.com . $435 is closer to a few years registration on a vehicle here in Texas.

Florida Gun Rights Law Flawed

GenEarly Tuesday, December 15th at 1:15PM EST (link)

The Florida self protection gun laws have a flaw that is being exploited by state prosecutors in Miami,Tampa, and Clearwater. If you draw your weapon in self defense and do not fire and there is any “conflict” in the police reports you can be prosecuted on a 3rd degree felony. The rub is that the charge carries a MANDATORY MINIMUM sentence of 3 years and is up to a 6 person jury. Now do you risk 3 years in a Florida prison away from family, loss of job, income, home, family ,etc. OR do you cop a guilty plea, get probation, and lose your gun rights, voting rights ,etc. This law needs to be amended or put on a state referendum. Florida is on a financial path to follow California, and our personal freedoms are under attack, even with an apparent “Republican” majority state government. Constant Vigilence.

that situation is in the gun license pamphlet

mom2oneson (Diary) Tuesday, December 15th at 1:33PM EST (link)

They gave the example of a mother with young kids that had to ask the govenor for an out becaus she drew a gun on a mechanic or something. Wow I never though they could manipulate like that. I got the packet to apply for one but then I had to use the money for something else before I took my class.

sharonmcp (Diary) Tuesday, December 15th at 1:11AM EST (link)

Fees doubled on my pick-up and a $28 increase on my husband’s car.

Sorry Charlie, even without the increased taxes you wouldn’t be getting my vote.

mom2oneson (Diary) Tuesday, December 15th at 9:58AM EST (link)

I think it was close to $100. I have to say the tax collectors office are always the most helpful, patient, kindest going out of their way to assist you customer service reps I’ve ever dealt with. No matter who I get they are always helpful. For example the last time I renewed we went downtown to do it and my son was reading the historical info on some of the decorations in the building and a lady just coming back from her lunch asked if we needed help. When dealing with them they do not rush you, they verify everything, they are very well trained and professional and helpful.

5 reasons why Charlie Crist won't get my vote

sharonmcp (Diary) Tuesday, December 15th at 10:01AM EST (link)

1. Support of Obama’s Stimulus Failure.

2. Support of ACORN.

3. YOU LIE! And when you get called on your lies, YOU LIE again to cover your original lie.

4. As mentioned in my post above, an outrageous increase in driver’s license fees and motor vehicle registrations.

5. After Mr. “I will not raise taxes on people who earn under $250,000 per year” raised taxes from 39 cents to $1.01 per pack of cigarettes, Charlie decided that ‘Bo knows best’, and added another $1 per pack increase.

Oh, and btw Charlie, IMHO, we don’t need no stinkin’ high-speed rail system.

Here, and in most of the West, we call it Californication. Californicators leave their socialist workers paradise because of the high taxes and over-regulation and then try to turn wherever they move to into California. Sitka, Alaska used to be a rough and tumble fishing and timber town. Clinton and his greenie friends cut off the timber and completely killed that industry and damn near killed the town. Then the Californicators discovered it and have now turned it into Bezerkley North.

Charlie pushed for the new rail system which is a 2 billion waste tax payer money, and by the half of that money is coming from the DOT, which leaves little money for roads and bridges. The rail system, is empty like Crist head, the road are over crowded. If Rubio was smart he would make hay over this and hang Crist on it with the voters.

That rail is worthless

fedup1776 Tuesday, December 15th at 9:32AM EST (link)

After Jeb it seems our state has lost or losing it way. Tan-man certainly hasn’t helped matters. Speaking of Sun Rail, I live in Orange Co. where(supposed) Republicans ,Crotty and Dyer are supporting the ridicules rail system. Tell me,has anyone seen a poll as to who would use this system? How many, I haven’t. Maybe it will benefit Mickey Mouse but?Now we have that idiot Grayson and Kosmos who vote for anything to expand Government. This has got to come to a close. Maybe it’s the influence of to many North Easterner’s in Fl. now,who knows? Your right about the fee increase by the DMV, I own 5 vehicles and this is killing me. If any good come’s from this it will probably make the DMV more efficient, yea right.

I really haven't followed the Sun Rail debate

fsured Tuesday, December 15th at 9:46AM EST (link)

that closely, but I think part of the appeal is to help alleviate the traffic on I-4, which is a total nightmare. Now, I have no idea if Sun Rail will be effective, but I guess that is the logic, fwiw.

Logic is not part of the high-speed rail deal

RedBeard Tuesday, December 15th at 10:12AM EST (link)

If logic mattered, the boosters of this boondoggle would go back to the drawing board and design a system that actually connects to a viable local light rail system at either end, so the travelers won’t be dumped out and abandoned. As it is, this is a train from nowhere to nowhere, just another monumental testament to the egos of politicians.

Even with proper connections, one must wonder how much incentive there is for travelers to get to the rail head at one end and from the other terminal, all to avoid a one hour trip by road.

Erick, you should know better than to ask Gov. Crist to do something impossible. Heck, he can barely cope with the mundane. Having just escaped my native FL (after almost 50 years there), I can tell you that any poll you see touting Crist’s popularity was most likely paid for by him. He decimated the state’s education system within the first 2 years. He has completely destroyed the legacy of Jeb Bush. The only saving grace in his Senate run is that it will get him out of the FL Governor’s mansion!

Charlie Crist the RINO isn’t the only idiot in Florida. How about “Smilin’ Bill Nelson” – Democrat. Talk about a douche bag! Better known as Senator Bill Nelson, Florida.

In a deceitful ploy to take care of his special interest base in specific counties in Florida, “Willie Nelson” (senator) — threw the rest of us Floridians under the bus in Reid’s Healthcare Plan…..

He requested a “special favor” to only part of Florida – Miami-Dade/Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

That special facor prevents Medicare Advantage cuts to these counties The rest of us, in Florida, will just have to suffer the cuts and do with less healthcare benefits than those in South Florida.

He said he dislikes Medicare Advantage and then goes behind our backs and gets a special deal for those who do in his rich base of voters in South Florida.

He is doing nothing more than trying to win votes with the wealthier and larger population in South Florida.

Isn’t it amazing that he is our State Senator and yet he only represents half the State? From Central Florida up to North Florida and into the Panhandle – we evidently do not have any representation in Washington.

He’s shown his true colors – and they aren’t red, white and blue. If you are from Florida ask this disgraceful farce to resign!!!!!!!!!!.
