Nikki Haley, had she been in Congress, would have voted no. She too went to a Tea Party:

They are both running for Governor of South Carolina. Which one do you support?

I’m all for Nikki, I was convinced of that after Atlanta.

And I opposed TARP when McCain surrendered his campaign to it.

But Gresham Barrett’s ratings from the American Conservative Union from ’93-’98 were 92/100/100/96/100/100. If we conservatives are counting on the Tea Party folks to back our candidates in 2010, we may be in for a rude awakening. Especially if they backed TARP, which plenty of Republicans did.
