If these journalists appear to be on Christ’s payroll, or at least non-objective, then you need to get a counter-article printed by the same newspaper. Voters tend not to remember anything beyond the last article they might have read. Gotta get them to say, “Now just a darned minute there…”

I worked with the Times and their reporters for over 20 years in both education and politics. They are the MOST LIBERAL NEWSPAPER IN FLORIDA. Of course they like Crist. Why would they support a real conservative.

I do know and have worked with Charlie Crist also. He is a very nice decent man. He has been a State Senator, Attorney General, Commissioner of Education and now Governor. He never met a higher office that he did not aspire to have. The Republicans in Florida think he is a Democrat and the Left Wing Democrats think he is a Republican. I think that he is a RINO and will do what it takes to get elected.

I did not know Rubio very much but he is a conservative.

Having nothing to actually run on except for who is endorsing him, Crist is flailing at whatever he can. He has already cost Florida billions of dollars and has no plan or clue on how to get it back, nor does he care to get it back.

We all know that Crist is the most overrated and underperforming governor in the nation. $60 billion of SBA funds went south (some of it literally). These losses were not in blue chips, but in phony derivative deals that made tens and hundreds of millions for Wall Street sharks. Ignorance, inattention, or corruption, what’s the difference? Sink, McCollum and Crist are exactly equally responsible and that has helped cover it up, but not for long.

The RS article last week showing the collusion between Crist, Greer, and LeMieux may have something to do with my rep Miller calling for RPOF Chm Greer to resign. Miller’s press release below.

MILLER CALLS ON GREER TO RESIGN AS FLORIDA GOP CHAIRMAN

Congressman Jeff Miller (R-FL-01) issued the following statement today:

“Jim Greer has shown on numerous occasions that he is incapable of running the Republican party of Florida (RPOF) and refuses to remain neutral in contested primaries. Mr. Greer has failed at managing the financial, political, and public relations aspects of the state party.

The latest scandal involving a RPOF operative and the use of a fake Twitter account to disparage a duly elected county Chairman is just another in a long list of management failures. Further, Greer has shown a bias in the primary of the United States Senate Seat in publically supporting Governor Crist and has repeatedly ignored calls from county party organizations for neutrality. This behavior is inexcusable and Florida Republicans deserve better.

At a time when Republicans across the country are energizing and unifying to defeat the Democrats in 2010, Greer is dividing and deflating Republicans in Florida.

I call on Mr. Greer to resign as Chairman of the RPOF.”

coming from the St. Pete times, of all places. Whether the journalists actually were paid off or whether they are simply sympathizers is an open question (perhaps money was not necessary, just a word here or there), but I agree that it’s very fishy.

Secondly Marco Rubio won his 13th straw poll in a row tonight by HUGE margins as usual against Crist.

Marion Hammer did.

And while she is a solid, conservative, lady; she is also a life-long Democrat and will (somewhat frequently) endorse the more liberal candidate if she perceives no major second amendment issue between the two (see, eg., Debbie Boyd).

I respectfully disagree with Hammer, and think that she’d be far (far) more disappointed with either Crist or Meek with votes on gun legislation, than with a guy like Rubio.

to this sad excuse for a journalistic publication? I’m over on Atlantic coast, but I am sure we have some folks in Tampa Bay area that can write some letters to the editor as well.

Marco is the real deal. I’d relate a few things Marco said at a private gathering this past week here that I attended but will save them for a diary, if/when the website here gets back to normal. I think the healthcare bill last night made this site very sick with the flu.

was bad enough but those dirty tricks he got caught red handed at
sealed the deal for a lot of us. I want Rubio to win but I would have
bit the bullet if Crist won the primary. Now I am not so sure. I used to be a strong believer in “Anyone with an R !” but recent events and numerous disappointments by RINO’s have changed my mind completely. Crist’s behavior is a window into what kind of person he is and I don’t believe I want to vote for that kind of person. I believe we are at a point in our country’s history where we have to vocally stand up for what we believe is right. We don’t have time for wishy washy politicians who are all about their own ego’s and not about honorably representing their constituents. I think I have come to the point where I’d rather risk losing with the conservative than vote for a RINO whose behaviour and voting record will only further damage Republican image and standing.

journalistic hypocrisy. And journalist malpractice in general does not directly result in an arrest. I’ll sleep well at night as my peers convict such schmuckery in the court of public opinion. Seeing one or two liberal outlets go out of business every so often is just icing.
