If we are going to stop Obama before he turns the nation into Marxist socialists/communists, we need to have more people with an (R) behind their name than those with a (D) in Congress. We need to get Ms Pelosi off the podium and back in her seat on the left side of the aisle. This country has never elected a more dangerous man as president.. His agenda is Marxist all the way, and he must be stopped before it’s too late. The clock is ticking and we are standing around wringing our hands. Do like me, join in at the local level and seriously work towards getting the strongest candidates nominated. We can do this if we keep our eyes on the prize. For now, NOTHING is more important than 2010.

I could not stand the smugness of Newt Gingrich the other day when he came out an endorsed ol dede to start with….the republican party needs to be reformed, reborn if you will. My Indiana senator Dick Lugar thinks he will still be there next election but he still does have a while. We simply need to ensure that the crowds change every two years until we get them all.

Lugars crime: When gas came from $4. plus down to like $2.85, he wanted to increase the fed tax because of their losses at $2..85 per gallon…..plus, in an email to me, he saw no reason to challenge the sitting president on his appointments…like Cass Sunstein whom he supported. I said, Dick, you dick, even if that means helping Obama establish his shadow government and put us on the path to socialism! I did not expect a response to that.

We will wean them as their time is up. The national republican party is offically null and void and every republican will have an independent running against him or her until their allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, one nation under God…and all that entails, can be established. I am pretty sure my fellow democrats agree that socialistic candidates are not the answer to our issues.

but my son is on my families behalf and my boss as of last week is looking into it as well as joing the Chamber of Commerce which he hadn’t thought of joining. It is all about participation in as many organizations as possible which lean Conservative!

I am glad that you mention it every time a diary comes up about “what can WE do” because it sets the record on EXACTLY what each of us in our own way can do. I work campaigns and DONATE alot of money around the country but I recognize how important the Committeeman project is which is why I talked my son into doing it.

The Republican Party has too long been listening to (and taking) the advice of liberal democrats. The GOP has become a baseless party — mush — without substance. People are leaving the GOP in search for their missing GOP. Since we’re obviously not going to become democrats, a lot — I MEAN A LOT — of Conservatives are registering a Independents. I am so weary of hearing boneheads like David Axelrod, Chris Matthews, and Joy Behar’s bunch graciously suggest to Republicans that the only way to defeat the wacky left is to abandon conservative standards.

Republicans need to return to their point of departure to pick up those party members who got off the bus.

Steele is a disappointment, and Gingrich imploded and lost his cayones after the government shutdown effort in the 90′s blew up in his face. He talks a good fight, or did, until the Scozzafava thing blew up in his face.

What I’m wondering is how Jeff Sessions got on the conservative black list. I’ve known Jeff Sessions and covered him as a reporter since he became a US Senator from Alabama. He IS a conservative, and a damn good one even if he doesn’t sound off at the top of his voice on every issue. His voting record is conservative. Do any of you remember when he was deep-sixed for a federal judgeship 15 or so years ago by the ‘late great’ Teddy Kennedy? Dig into the specifics of that. Do any of you remember the Bush-McCain “amnesty” fight? Sessions LED that fight in the Senate, and should get a lot of the credit for getting that debacle defeated.

If you think Jeff Sessions is with the moderate Republicans, you’re wrong. Don’t let his gentlemanly demeanor confuse you.

Through political history, reformers have been a dime a dozen and soon became indistinguishable from that which they set out to reform.
This election cycle must be viewed as the start of a restoration of normalcy to American governance at all levels. A restoration of a government which operates from the confines of our Constitution. We must recognize as must as we must live within the limitations of our abilities and our means as individuals. Since our government is of the people and by the people, our government must reflect a responsible citizenry.

Taking on the RNC gets us everywhere. That is the real fight here. If we don’t get the apparatchiks to place a premium on nominating Republicans rather than someone’s imbecile friend/relation we will be fighting this battle over and over in 2010 when it really counts.

The polls show that the Republicans in NY23 had already concluded that the nomination process had been hijacked and that is why Hoffman was leading and why whazzerface dropped out.

It may be fun to exercise your rhetoric, but think what residents in the NY23 district may be thinking… “outsiders are pushing to take over our representative”.
Inasmuch as DeDe and the Watertown NY paper have both endorsed the Dem, it’s clearly time to stop crowing and, if in the district, to double-down on your efforts… in a positive way.
Railing against the RNC gets no one anywhere.

I life in Orange County, CA. The local Republican Party webpage claims we are the reddest county in the nation (I remember when Reagan won, the nation was blue – who approved the change?) and also says it is the home of “center right politics”.

Being ‘center right’ just means we permit the advancement of Liberal ideas.

Until we control parties at the local level, it ain’t going to matter who runs things at the national level.

hammer the Democrats. The “Republicans” need to be reeducated. How many times have you heard someone say they were not going to vote because “there’s not a dimes worth of difference in the candidates”? Well, even if Hoffman doesn’t win in New York, the Republican gang will have learned a lesson. They had ample opportunity to get Scozzy off the ticket and did not do it. We have been right all along, no difference in the parties. When the big money gives equally to both candidates we should all get the message. They don’t care who appears to win, they already have them bought off.
Boys and Girls, it’s time for all of us to wake up and start voting the CANDIDATE, not the party. Time to go for the third party candidate, CONSERVATIVE, LIBERTARIAN, or INDEPENDENT. Then we get their attention.
