I note that they just credit “Rubio Supporters” for finding the rheffley tag. The old media wouldn’t want to acknowledge they’ve been scooped by a blogger.

Will the Republican Party of Florida denounce Mr. Heffley, sever ties with him, and stop paying him directly or indirectly? According to another of Mr. Heffley’s web sites, mystrategicdirection.com, “[h]e is again serving as lead consultant to the Republican Party for 2012.”

Will Gov. Crist, who appointed Mr. Heffley to the Florida Sports Foundation Board, ask him to resign from that position?

This kind of stupidity will continue until as Cold Warrior tells us everyday WE change it from within. That this tool made 6 million dollars in 2 years working for the GOP says there are BIGGER problems then just stupidity. We addressed this with another idiots during the McCain campaign which Erick advised us of (I cannot remember the idiot).

The GOP proves EVERY DAY why NOT to donate to their coffers but to slowly bleed them dry so that they die off and WE start a fresh new day in the GOP with REAL Conservatives. OBTW why would WE trust the GOP to stop throwing money around while in power when they SPEND like drunken sailors state to state on tools like Heffley.

After all that has been revealed, why is the site still up and running. Heffley said himself that it was a half-baked idea and yet the site remains.

I think they need to use the site to post a HUGE apology to Rubio and explain what they did.

Just leave that up there for a week or two.

I too find it hard to believe he acted alone. That he acted as point man is pretty much established. But point for whom? Where did the money come from? Did anybody give an “unofficial” okay for the attacks? Does this go directly back to Crist, or is it some other group? Or, are there additional intermediary groups working this so Crist can maintain “plausible deniability”? Once again I find myself wondering why this looks so Nixionian*.

*Despite my dislike for the origin of the word, there seems to be no other word in the language that relays the correct meaning in such a short space.
