“We the [conservative] people” haven’t been exercising our right to assemble at local GOP meetings in sufficient numbers lately, and our Party is a mess in the hands of the moderates as a result. Become a precinct committeeman and change it from within. More conservatives in the PC ranks means more conservative party leadership at the legislatative district, county, state and national levels. It’s a numbers game, pure and simple. Want more conservative leadership in the Party? Then join it as a PC and outnumber the moderates.

I think you’re vastly overestimating the number of conservative Democrats. The Reagan Democrats of 30 years ago are either dead or already Republicans now.

Any effort to make the Republican Party Democrat lite is doomed to failure. There is only room for one Socialist/Liberal Party. You cannot out liberal the liberals. There is a majority conservative constituency which seeks conservative policies. The Republican Party is conservative or it is nothing. I am amazed that Newt Gingrich should support Dede Scozzafava who has voted for 190 tax increases and is a pro abortion extremist.

The Republican Party must articulate and implement conservative policies. Otherwise it will splinter. A name change to the Conservative Party would make sense if buttressed by solid conservative policies. This will precipitate the departure of liberals. This will be counterbalanced by an inflow of conservatives. There are a sizeable number of conservative Democrats who would vote for such a Party but who might be reluctant to switch votes to a party called the Republican Party. The Republican Party has a choice: Be conservative or be redundant.
Finally a new third party would ensure permanent Democrat dominance.

I can’t believe Newt Gingrich would support a candidate just because she has an “R” following her name. This is just another example of the GOP not listening to their membrs. I hope Newt is proud of stabbing us in the back. I won’t support another RINO – my state already has two!!

So…have we gotten the message yet? Conservative America is no longer being represented in our Government. Articles like this should shake every Republican to the bone. I use to think of myself as a Republican until Pres Bush turned his back on the party. Now I am just a Conservative. I should be surprised by Newt…but I’m not. This women is just more of the same corruption in government at all levels. God help us.

Let the RINO’s do it.

2004 was the last time I supported the RNC. What I began to do was my own research on RINO’s close to home, the North East. When I found a RINO facing a Conservative or even better a Libertarian in a primary I would contribute to that candidate directly.

I’m no wealthy contributor but I believe in the Founding Fathers and their creations i.e. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America and the accompanying documents.

If we all do what we CAN do and be true to our values we can effect the real hope and change, you all know, that little thing called LIBERTY.

We’re doing it one town at a time here in MA. Yes, that’s Massachusetts. The state GOP does not seem happy about it but hey, they’re hoping to run Charlie Baker, a “pro-Choice, pro-Gay Marriage”, only been a Republican for nine months for governor.

The “Tea Party” party can take over the GOP in one year – we have 2010 to show conservatives get elected and the RINOS will come running back. Then we lock the door.

Rebuild the Republican party & take it over from the grassroots up. On a nationwide basis, a third party splitting conservatives from Republicans would only serve to elect whatever pitiful Democrat is running & this dynamic would last for likely several election cycles.

This incident with Hoffman should serve as a further wake up call to the “establishment” that candidates need to be chosen in a more ethical manner & simply having an “R” by the name will not work. They may also want to vett the candidates a bit better before they start dumping OUR money to them.

It´s like this:
There may be no easy answer but there is a simple answer.We Conservatives should elect enough delegates to the 2012 convention to change the name of the Republican Party to the Conservative Party. Then the RINOS, DIRCS and other assorted creatures of the political otherworld would get out and good conservatives outside of the GOP would get in.
Let the Conservative Revolution begin !!!!

In New York the Conservative Party provides an easy way to get a conservative on the ballot under the Conservative Party Line, but most states are a lot tougher when it comes to qualification of a new party to be on the ballot. Be prepared to get lots and lots of signatures in order to get a new party on the ballot.
