I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read this.

So Gates flies over to Europe to ask NATO to commit more troops to Afghanistan while his own boss has been too busy the past three months shooting hoops and hosting bands at the WH and flying to Europe to push for Chicago Olympics and going to $15,000 a plate fundraisers and trying to shut down Fox News and waiting for honest Afghani elections and (fill in the blank) to be able to develop his plan for a plan for stalling making any decisions.

Gates is heartened because some of the allies say … well I don’t know it seems to me like they said pretty much the same thing Obama has said. “We’re thinking about maybe doing it someday.”

He is an empty suit that is all talk and when it comes to action and decision-making, he can’t do it. He shows up and people throw money and kisses to him. He can only go on ‘friendly’ shows.

It is all about him, his image.

Obama could care less about what some mere “General” says about what’s needed in any given war zone. What’s important, in an all-consuming manner, is what’s needed to get reelected. And what’s needed is that the far left’s needs are met first.

Whenever a liberal (aka Democrat) is in office the military is left swinging in the wind.
